I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Hodgie and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Hodgie has done well sleeping in his crate at night without any accidents or whining. He doesn't love being in the kennel during the day, but will calm down after a while for his nap times. He is a typical puppy and is working on not biting so much during play. He loves playing tug and fetch and running up and down the stairs as fast as he can. He has a lot of energy for playing and needs encouragement to settle down for rest time. He is still working on his potty training. He has only had a few pee accidents in the house, but he is not consistent with going poop outside. He loves to be near us and will follow us around whenever we move. He has really loved playing with kids, but with our shy 5 year old he has been testing the hierarchy quite a bit. I think with confident training he could quickly learn. He is very motivated by food!

Story
Hi! My name is Podgie and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Podgie has been slow to come out of her shell after we received her on 1/11. She is a shy and timid puppy, but she has not shown a single sign of aggression. She loves to cuddle and will snuggle on the couch or bed with you. She's still working on getting comfortable going outside (there is some fear around being on a leash and being outdoors) and needs quite a bit of support for potty training. She currently goes on pads inside the house, but we are working diligently to help her relearn these behaviors. She is crate trained and actually prefers to sped quite a bit of time in there. We are starting to see little glimpses of a playful, curious personality as she continues to settle in. She's been playing with toys and interacting well with our 6 year old.

My name is Lloyd, I am from Alabama. From his foster: Meet Lloyd, the sweet, adventurous puppy who's ready to bring endless joy to your home! He loves playing tug and fetch, but just as much, he enjoys winding down with cozy snuggles and naps on the couch. Lloyd is calm and curious when meeting new people, animals, and situations, and he’s quickly mastering crate and potty training. With his love for treats and toys, he’s always eager to learn and explore new things by your side. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion to join you on life’s adventures, Lloyd is the perfect match!

Story
I need a foster now! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say Yes! My name is Lolly, I am from Alabama. I am a happy puppy who will be about 4 months old when I arrive! I love to play and I am a bundle of joy. From her foster: Lolly is 100% dog. She is curious, feisty, playful, athletic but also really loves to snuggle and cuddle. She's doing really well with potty training and is learning to walk on a leash. She loves our two resident dogs although she can be a bit too "spunky" for the 8yr old chihuahua at times. We do not have cats so I'm not sure about them although I suspect some chasing would be involved at the beginning. Lolly is extremely food motivated which helps with training. Ideally, I think she would love a companion pup but could do well with attentive parent/parents. She has the bluest eyes!

Story
My name is Linley, I am from Alabama. From her foster: Linley is an adorable and spunky 4 month old puppy! She is deaf, but that doesn’t slow this lady down at all!! If anything it just makes the bond with her and her human even stronger because she is always looking at you for guidance and support! Linley is an active pup and would do well with an active family! She loves all dogs she has met, but does have some struggles listening to the other dog’s signals that they don’t want to play. But she would love another playful dog in the house. She loves our two resident pups. Once she is done playing she loves to crawl on your lap and cuddle! Linley is working hard on crate training, she does great at night and sleeps through the whole night. During the day it is hit or miss. She sometimes does put a on loud protest, so will need someone to continue to work with her with this. She is also doing great with potty training while kept supervised and on a schedule. From the vet team: During my exam, a vet detected a potential faint, heart murmur. The vet stated it is so slight that if it is real, it's likely an innocent murmur that will go away with time.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxBonnaroo is currently in boarding while we continue to search for a foster or adoptive home. While boarding is safe it willl never compare to laying on a soft bed in his own home. Let’s get Bon into a home where he can build human connections and thrive!Meet Bonnaroo! This handsome fella needs a strong, gentle pack leader who will not allow him to be in charge.  Yes he is a big boy and can be a bit overwhelming to some but when he knows you are the boss because you guide him to do the right thing, he is all yes ma’am, yes sir.  He will need continued training and yes, we have a trainer already set up to work with him.  We just need a adopter or foster who is willing to put in the time for socialization and training.  He will thrive in an environment that has boundaries and expectations for him to follow. He is true to his people and although needs a minute to be ok with strangers, once he is comfortable, he is all snuggles and happy wiggles. He is housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash.  Right now he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  He can be around other dogs, but is a bit awkward and wants to show them he is the boss.  Yes, the trainer will help with that.   Look at that face…. Won’t you help Bonnaroo be all he can be??   If you have filled out an application please just email adoptionatmars@gmail.com   If you are a previous foster please email fosteratmars@gmail.com   Let's get this big guy home!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
