Story
Maryann has not had it easy. She was adopted as a puppy, but when her dad got a new girlfriend, he decided that he couldn't be bothered with his dogs and so after a year, Maryann ended up back at the rescue. Now, she is hopeful that someone will see her sweet nature and beautiful colors and make her their newest family member. She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, house trained and ready to be adopted. All she needs now is a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love. She is in TN but one of our donors has sponsored her so the cost of transport to your area is included in her fee. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road, Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.     Cheeto Dust is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Pit Bull mix with a joyful spirit, a whole lot of wiggle, and an endless supply of love. This affectionate, goofy pup brings sunshine into every room — when he gets excited, his whole body wiggles, and it’s impossible not to smile. He absolutely loves to snuggle and is happiest curled up close with his people after a day of play. Cheeto is a smart, eager-to-please boy who already knows commands like sit, down, and go potty. He’s potty trained to go outside and does very well on a routine, though he may have occasional accidents in a few familiar spots as he continues to learn. He’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and thrives with consistency and continued guidance. During the day, Cheeto is playful, curious, and full of energy. He loves balls, squeaky toys, and any kind of playtime — especially with other dogs off leash, where he truly shines. He does great in the yard, but his adventurous side means he can climb shorter fences or baby gates and will take the opportunity to explore if a gate is left open, so a secure setup and attentive supervision are important. On leash, Cheeto is still learning his manners. He can pull and may bark or growl at other dogs, so continued leash work and obedience training will be key to helping him feel more confident and relaxed. With proper introductions and the right match, he enjoys canine companionship, especially with playful, easygoing dogs. Cheeto is currently living with children and has done best with older kids. While he is very loving, he can become overstimulated and has nipped at younger children to get attention. He also has natural herding tendencies and a high energy level, so he would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids who understand boundaries and can interact with him appropriately. He’s a funny, spirited pup who likes to “help” around the house — especially when it comes to vacuuming and sweeping (his version of helping involves barking at the vacuum and broom). Cheeto is friendly with adults, rides well in the car, and forms strong, affectionate bonds with his people. Cheeto Dust is a loving, energetic, and intelligent pup who will thrive with a family committed to continuing his training and giving him the structure he needs. With patience, consistency, and plenty of play and snuggles, he’s going to grow into an incredible companion. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Good with dogs,
Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Bad Bunny is a bouncy, joyful Southern mix puppy who lives up to his name in the cutest way — full of hops, wiggles, and playful energy. He’s an affectionate, sweet little guy who loves attention, loves to play, and loves cuddling once he’s had his fun. He and his brother Snoop Dog are inseparable playmates, and he’d thrive in a home with another friendly dog. Like any young puppy, Bad Bunny is curious about everything and loves to explore. He’ll happily chew on toys and safe items, and while he does put things in his mouth, he’s gentle and hasn’t destroyed anything so far. With plenty of toys and supervision, he stays busy and content. He’s making progress with potty training and does well when kept on a routine. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, though during the day he may bark if he sees people and feels left out. Because he’s tiny, skittish in new situations, and a flight risk, Bad Bunny requires a fully secure 6‑foot fenced yard with no gaps he could slip through. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash and needs a properly fitted harness so he can’t wiggle out. With patience and gentle guidance, he’ll gain confidence. He shows mild curiosity toward the resident cat but hasn’t had close interactions yet, so his behavior with cats is still unknown. He’s great with other dogs and would do best in a home with a canine companion. In fact, he would be absolutely thrilled to be adopted with his brother Snoop Dog, though it’s not required. Bad Bunny is affectionate, goofy, intelligent, and eager to please. He’s beginning to learn his name, “come,” and “go potty,” and he’s smart enough to pick up new skills quickly. He’s a high‑energy, loving little buddy who will make a wonderful companion for someone patient, gentle, and ready for puppy life. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, cuddly pup who will bring joy and laughter into your home, Bad Bunny is ready to hop right into your heart — and maybe bring his brother along too. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Overall Scooby is a very good dog. He's very intelligent and always looks too please. I've had them for 2 weeks and I'm in my 60s and he's just a little too much for me to handle. It would be perfect if you went to a household that had a large fenced in backyard.

Story
Hi! My name is Skooby and I'm from Missouri! Two different colored eyes, big paws, and an even bigger heart, Skooby is as special as they come. He’s an expert at finding the coziest spot in the room. Whether that’s curled up in a dog bed or snuggled next to you on the couch. At night, he sleeps soundly in his kennel for a full 8 hours. We have been crating him when leaving him alone. He does cry/bark for a bit before settling down and will need a little patience with that. He’s not reactive—thunder, knocks at the door, and general household commotion doesn't seem to bother him. Skooby has been friendly with everyone he’s met so far. He’s happily accepted pets from our school age neighborhood kids. He LOVES to play with our resident dog. He would make a great addition He hasn’t been tested with cats.
