This handsome fella needs a strong, gentle pack leader who will not allow him to be in charge. Yes he is a big boy and can be a bit overwhelming to some but when he knows you are the boss because you guide him to do the right thing, he is all yes ma’am, yes sir. He will need continued training and yes, we have a trainer already set up to work with him. We just need a adopter who is willing to put in the time for socialization and training. He will thrive in an environment that has boundaries and expectations for him to follow. He is true to his people and although needs a minute to be ok with strangers, once he is comfortable, he is all snuggles and happy wiggles. He is housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash. Right now he prefers to be the only dog in the home. He can be around other dogs, but is a bit awkward and wants to show them he is the boss. Yes, the trainer will help with that. Look at that face…. Won’t you help Bonnaroo be all he can be?? Meet Donatello! He’s a staffy mix born 3/31/24 and he weighs 42 lbs. Donatello is great with kids, cats and other dogs. Being a puppy, he is very curious and likes to play with other dogs. He wants to play chase with one of his foster's resident dogs, but is submissive when caught. They are still working on walking on a leash and he is a little afraid of cars passing but that's okay! He does weave around while walking so he is a work in progress! He has only been in the car one time and he fell asleep on the seat right away! Donatello loves human contact, and chase. In the time his foster has had him, he has not had one accident in the house! He is pretty high energy and sometimes doesn't realize how big he is. In no way does he try to hurt you, but he thinks he is a tiny poodle!! When his foster is working from home, he is a great coworker as he curls up under their desk and sleeps! He has been sleeping through the night in his crate but does cry a bit when put to bed at night. Donatello is working on being a great family pet! Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.

Maryann showed up at a good Samaritan's house. The good Samaritan brought them to our facility, and we took them in. Well, how could we resist. They were so frightened and scared but are doing much better now. They are up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped and ready to be adopted. Who could resist those faces. They are adorable and they need a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love. We don't know if they are siblings or not but that they came in together. The foster that has them now says they are coming out of their shell and are very playful and full of life. They love chasing each other and playing tag. They are very curious and so affectionate. They will be great for any family to have one of them for a family member. She is in TN but the cost of transport to your area is included in her fee. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road, Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Hi! I'm Boudreaux, aka Boo! I am from Missouri! Hey there, I'm Boudreaux, and I'm a bundle of joy with a tail that never stops wagging! I'm still a playful pup with heaps of energy, so I'm looking for someone who's up for a little adventure and can help me master the art of leash walking and not jumping on people when I'm super excited (I promise, I'm working on it!). I've got a serious soft spot for squeaky toys-I could run around with those forever! Tennis balls? Not so much. But tug-of-war? Oh, count me in! One of our neighbor's dogs came over barking like crazy, but I was like, Hey there, wanna play? When we met (on leash, of course), I was the perfect gentleman. The other dog wasn't into it, so it was a quick meet-and-greet, but I was totally chill and would be thrilled to have a furry friend to hang out with! Car rides? Well, I'm still warming up to them. I'm a bit unsure about jumping in, but once I'm in, I'm a relaxed passenger-just chillin' and enjoying the ride! I'm your go-to squirrel patrol specialist. I only bark when there's a sneaky squirrel in sight, but otherwise, I'm pretty mellow. I'm a strong guy, so leash training will help us walk together like pros. Thankfully I am super treat motivated (and smart of course) so it makes training a breeze. Ready to make some fun memories together? Let's do this!
