Those ears! Those eyes! This handsome pup is Barry. He is a catahoula leopard dog mix. Barry is 10 months old and currently 38 pounds. He is expected to stay a medium sized dog (25-60 pounds) when fully grown. Barry is looking for a forever family that will embrace his energetic nature and give him the love he so desires. Barry has a high every level. He will need daily exercise (both physical and mental) to become the best family member he can be. He would make a great running or hiking partner for his new family. Barry gets along well with children and other dogs after proper introductions. He would fit in nicely with a family that currently has another dog or can be an only dog. Barry would be best in a home without cats. Barry is working on house, crate and leash training. He is a smart pup, so he will undoubtedly pick these important skills up quickly with the patience and consistency of his new family. Story
Just look at those baby blues! This gorgeous girl is Hannah. She is a 15 month-old Catahoula leopard dog mix. Hannah currently weighs 44 pounds. Hannah is longing for a family to call her own. She is well trained and would love to live in a home with another dog. Hannah has high energy level but is very quiet and easygoing in a home with another dog. She would be a great partner on your outdoor adventures! Hannah enjoys playing outside and will need daily exercise, both mental and physical, to be the best family member she can be. The key to helping Hannah be a balanced, obedient companion is two fold - daily crate time and very active playtime with another dog. Hannah displays cautious and suspicious behavior with new people and things. This behavior disappears quickly if properly handled. Hannah is no couch potato. She needs a person that will actively interact with her during her day. On the other hand she is remarkably calm and content in her crate for a few hours. Hannah is good with other dogs and children aged 12 years and older. She would do best in a home without cats. A home with a fenced yard would be a plus withe Hannah - she loves to run and play, especially with another dog. Hannah is very affectionate and sweet. She enjoys daily attention from her people. Hannah is leash trained, crate trained and house trained. She will certainly be an eye catching addition to your home and daily walks. Patience and consistency from her new family will help her to maintain these important skills. If Hannah sounds like your perfect match, read below! The adoption fee for Hannah is $500. Story
Meet Indie! A spirited four-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix from Easton, MA, whose vibrant personality is as striking as his one blue and one amber eye. Wrapped in a sleek white coat with merle patches, Indie is the picture of a playful, intelligent companion who's always up for an adventure—especially if it involves tug-of-war with his favorite rope toy or a game of fetch in the yard! Indie is a true explorer at heart and thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs, sniff out new scents, and soak in the great outdoors. If you're someone who enjoys outdoor activities, Indie would love nothing more than to join you on long walks, especially in the woods where he can engage all his senses! This lovable goofball is both affectionate and incredibly treat-motivated, which makes training an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Indie knows an impressive list of commands: "sit," "lay down," "paw," "wait," "leave it," "look," "stay," "gentle," "touch," and even "find it"—he’s eager to show off his smarts for the right reward. He’s also been crate-trained, making him a well-rounded companion when it’s time to settle down after an active day. However, Indie’s high energy means he needs an enriching environment and a dedicated caregiver who understands his needs. He has worked hard through positive reinforcement training to manage his reactivity toward other dogs, but he will need a guardian who can continue helping him with these impulses. Due to this, Indie would thrive best as the only dog in a home without small children, but he gets along well with cats and could be a wonderful feline-friendly addition. With his love for activity, a secure fenced yard is essential for Indie, giving him space to run and explore safely. And while he may take some time to warm up to new people, his loyalty and love shine through once he feels comfortable. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, and on a special vet-prescribed diet due to a chicken intolerance, ensuring his health stays in tip-top shape. Could Indie be the playful, affectionate, and intelligent companion you’re looking for? If so, get ready for endless games of tug-of-war, nature walks, and all the joy he’s ready to bring into your life. Does Indie sound like your next adventure buddy? Story
Introducing Hondo, the loyal and brave companion you've been waiting for! Hondo is a true good boy, showcasing his friendly nature with both people and fellow furry friends. He strikes the perfect balance between confident and respectful, making him a wonderful addition to any household dynamic. While Hondo may be a bit head shy when it comes to leashes, it's a trait rooted in his past experiences - his ears once caused him discomfort. But with patience and understanding, he's slowly overcoming this challenge. This resilience highlights his adaptable nature and willingness to grow. Crate training is a breeze for Hondo, reflecting his cooperative spirit. He's well-versed in the art of sitting and enjoys eating a peaceful meal. These traits make him a joy to train and a promising companion for both new and experienced pet owners. Hondo's ideal home is one that's lively and active, as he thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs and engage in the joyful act of running. With a strong recall foundation already in place, he's open to further fine-tuning this skill. This warrior-dog's name is music to his ears, and he responds to it with enthusiasm. Though his recall could use a bit more polish, his eagerness to learn shines through. Hondo's adaptable and resourceful nature, coupled with his receptive attitude, make him a loyal partner for all your adventures. If you're seeking a four-legged friend who embodies both resilience and companionship, look no further than Hondo. He's ready to stand by your side and show you the depths of his affectionate heart.
