Story
Meet Sampson! He is happy, bouncy, and super wiggly. Sampson loves to play and is full of energy so he would make a great companion for a hiker, runner, or just an admirer of the great outdoors. Lots of things make Sampson excited, so adopters should continue to train with him so he can learn how to settle and have quiet time. Kids in the home should be able to participate in training and unfazed by a bouncy pup and their goofy antics. If you think Sampson could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by MSPCA Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Indie was adopted from a rescue at 6 months old (currently 4 years 4months). He is an extremely intelligent, high energy boy who loves to please his owner/handler! He is HIGHLY treat motivated which makes training easy. He is dog reactive and has been through a lot of training to work on good manners but still needs help working through his reactions. He currently goes to a daycare that works on his reactivity in a play environment but should be known that he would unlikely be accepted by daycares that do not have experience accommodating dogs with reactivity or an option for just people play. He is very loving and playful and his favorite is to be outside for plenty of sniffs!

Story
Meet Miss Lindy. She is the mom of 9 puppies that were adopted out by PAWS New England last year. She is a people and large dog friendly girl who is finally ready to find HER furever home.A very pregnant Lindy was pulled from a TX high kil shelter (on her D-day) by a retired southern foster who agreed to foster until she delivered and her puppies were weaned. After being a great mama to her babies she was then spayed and treated for heartworm over the course of several months. She is now heartworm negative and is looking for a home to call her own. Lindy is fine with all her hoomans and very loving with her large canine siblings. She has not been exposed to smaller dogs. She seemed quite uninterested when cat tested (see video), but has never lived with cats. She might be a bit rambunctious for younger kids. Lindy would love a young, active home as she has plenty of energy to go on long walks or hikes, but she is not "hyper". After her exercise, she then enjoys snuggling…so awesome. She is housetrained with a doggie door. Leash training in in process, but this girl is very treat motivated, so training should be fairly easy.Lindy loads up in her foster mom's SUV with just a little boost; truly enjoys car riding and her outings. Let's find this sweet mama a great household where she will bring along her affectionate and fun personality!Name: LindyBreed: Catahoula Leopard Dog/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2 years (estimated)Weight: 62.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testing (after treatment)Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: SelectiveGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $500.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Texarkana Tx IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Story
My mom's name is Stella Marie. She is a stunning Leopard Catahoula who was abused and dumped. She wasn't spayed at the time of being dumped and ended up pregnant. One day 14+ weeks ago, She wandered up to a lovely, fantastic, safe porch. She was paper thin, tired, and thirsty and couldn't move any farther. This kind couple got home from work and saw her on their porch. Immediately, they knew they needed to help save her life. They brought her in, cleaned, and fed her. She slept for quite a while. Then, one day, her foster mom told She foster dad that there were babies.  Not long after that, they counted seven beautiful babies. My foster parents kept the runt. Our names are Robbie (M), Dakota (M), Kingston (M), Fernie (F), Moonlight (F), and Lucy (F). Like most strays, there are multiple dads. My boy Robbie (M) is a leopard also. Dakota (M) is my biggest and sweetest (M), Kingston (M) has a lot of Boxer in him, Moonlight (F) has the shape of a moon pattern in her fur on her rear end, Fernie (F) is a little girl, and her sister Lucy (F) is the tiniest. Lucy and Fernie have German Shepherd features, including their ears standing up. Dakota is a super gentle giant. We are so sweet and nervous around new people for just a few minutes. Then they realize you are ok. Happy babies are full of energy and life.  I love dogs and cats of all sizes. My foster family has two large-breed adult dogs (one a senior) and several cats, including eight kittens of all ages. My ideal home would be active but unnecessary with another animal or two. I know I would do great with people and older children. I like car rides and pleasing others. I am treat-oriented. Please request an application, and I will begin my journey home to you. The first person to submit an application and a refundable deposit will be the first to be looked at to adopt me.
