Story
Introducing Mandy! Our girl Mandy is an almost 2 years old spotted Catahoula/Lab mix who weighs about 40lbs. This little social butterfly is ready for her furever home. Apply to Foster-to-Adopt or Adopt Mandy here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Although Mandy is hearing and seeing impaired, that doesn’t get in her way. She is flourishing in her foster home. Her foster mom reports: “She is perfectly well behaved! She has no more crate anxiety, walks excellent on a leash and has learned some commands, sit, lay down with hand motions/touch. She is extremely social and well behaved all around. She also doesn't have any accidents in the house. Mandy loves all dogs regardless of size, age, or breed. Her ability to run with the pack despite her disabilities, plus, her ability to relax, cuddle and snuggle up to human and dog friends alike makes her an extra special companion. She even does well with children! Mandy is a true gem. As with any new animal, her adopters should be patient letting her get adapted to their home and routine. Mandy would do best in a home with another dog/dogs or someone who is home the majority of the time. Mandy has not been tested with cats. If Mandy sounds like the girl for you, please fill out an application with Broken Tail Rescue. If you are interested in finding out more about Mandy, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Mandy is being fostered in Worcester. The adoption fee is $350. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet. ____ MA Rescue License 0139

Story
Scout is a loving puppy, adopted from the Lowell Humane Society at 3mo. DOB 5/25/24. We are looking for a committed and experienced pet owner for this quirky puppy! She adores snuggling her people with kisses, is potty trained, and crate trained but loves to sleep in the bed! She is smart, knows her basic commands, and loves a task to stimulate her strong mind. She gets along with other dogs, but we believe she is better suited as the only dog in a house. Kids aren’t an issue when approached on walks, but we aren’t sure about her living with them. Scout is treat/food motivated and has shown signs of resource guarding food/toys with our other dog, but we believe it can be fixed in the right environment. She can get anxious if not given the proper exercise/routine, so she'll need attention and physical activity. Scout would be best suited for someone/family with an active lifestyle - walks, runs, hikes on trails, outdoor/indoor play with a good-sized yard, and mental stimulation!

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Zaya! Zaya is approximately 4 months old, 27 lbs currently, and she likely has some Catahoula in her mix. In her foster home, she is working on her house-training, crate training, and has no experience leash walking. She could go to a home (no apartments please!) with kids 10+, and other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats! As a puppy, she will need someone who is home for most of the day to provide a lot of attention and consistent expectations. Puppy classes and training are a must to ensure that she grows up to be a well behaved and loyal companion. Her foster says, `Zaya aka `Red` is so funny and makes us laugh and her eyes are so cute with the 2 different colored eyes. She loves to cuddle up and sleep next to her human and will stay in bed asleep until it`s morning time. She loves attention and really loves to share whatever is on your plate. She loves to play with other dogs, wrestling and chasing. Watching is so entertaining to watch her play with the bigger dogs just like she is big like them. She loves toys and fetch is a favorite game. She loves horses and is working on her sit, wait and recall commands and she is a fast learner and loves to please. She loves to sit in your lap and enjoy belly rubs and look at your adoringly. She loves to give kisses. She knows the words `good girl` like she knows she is one. Someone is going to be so lucky to have this sweet, smart loving girl!`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on March 14th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
