All she wants from kids is love and attention. She is just a puppy, though, and will need guidance on excited jumps. We don't know her past, but she came to us on the skinny side and can be shy in new environments. She tends to be much more confident with another four legged friend around. She has been fabulous with crate and potty training. It is with a heavy heart that we find ourselves needing to rehome our beloved dog, Hank. We’ve had him since he was just a puppy, and we affectionately refer to him as our Kroger dog, as we adopted him from someone giving away puppies outside the store. Hank is a gentle soul who gets along well with cats, female dogs, and even chickens, although he does have a playful instinct to chase them occasionally. Over the past two years, Hank has grown up alongside our 7-year-old son. Unfortunately, he doesn’t view our son as a primary member of the family and has shown signs of aggression towards him, particularly when we’re not around. This behavior has also extended to friends and cousins who visit us. Despite our efforts with online training for both Hank and our son, we haven’t seen the improvements we hoped for, and we’re concerned about the potential for things to escalate. Grace is approximately 2-3 years old and 35 - 40 lbs. She was found as a stray in Speedway and within 24 hours was undergoing emergency spay surgery for pyometra. She bounced back quickly and is fully healthy now. Grace can be timid at first, but once she warms up to you she doesn't leave your side. She has a special affinity for children and most dogs, but seems to prefer dogs her size and larger. She currently lives with 2 dogs, and spent time with another foster dog as well. She is the first to greet her dog family or people at the door with kisses – without barking. She would love a home where she can approach on her own terms. She has learned to behave on a leash, and knows sit, no, and wait. She loves laying in the sun and tummy rubs. For her final vaccination, she sat in the lap of the vet tech and was reported “wonderful”. She eats like a vacuum cleaner and cleans up any food that attempts to escape…. If she can push the bathroom open, she will supervise what ever is going on in there… Grace is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Rilee is a Catahoula Leopard Dog, 3 years old and about 50 lbs. Rilee is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and microchipped. Rilee is house and crate trained and she does great on car rides. She is high energy with lots of love to give. She is very protective. She loves her humans as well as their children. She tends to do best with male dogs than female dogs. Rilee loves to be close to her humans at all times especially at night. She likes to explore the outdoors but has a natural instinct to hunt and find new smells. A fenced in yard would best suit her. She enjoys walks but is still learning to walk with her owner rather than pulling. She is responsive to her name, food/treat driven and loves bones of all types.
