Story
4 year old Catahoula Lepord Hound mix. Energetic and loving dog who loves playing with other dogs, being chased around, and a good stick. Can be slow to open at start but is incredibly sweet when comfortable. Would prefer fenced in yard for him to play in. Great with other dogs and cats but can get too playful. Originally adopted as a puppy in Memphis who was in need of a hip surgery. Up to date on all shots and is in great health.

Story
Hi. My name is Darla. My foster parents also call me Little D. 💜 As much as I love hanging out with my foster family, I would love to find a family of my own. It’s been really fun having two dogs and 4 cats to play with. I play really well with big and small dogs. I have learned to stay clear of the kittie’s murder paws when they yell at me. Gotta love healthy boundaries. I currently hold the title of worlds best snuggler and I would really love to maintain it. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. I listen pretty well and am very treat motivated. Please share so I can find a family of my own. 💜 Catahoula mix 💜 Good with dogs, cats, and kids 💜 Almost a year old! 💜 Fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped 💜 Weighs about 40lbs 📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/secondchancespetsanctuarytx/Second-Chances-Adoption-Application 📍 Currently fostered in Indianapolis, IN

Story
Rilee is a Catahoula Leopard Dog, 3 years old and about 50 lbs. Rilee is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and microchipped. Rilee is house and crate trained and she does great on car rides. She is high energy with lots of love to give. She is very protective. She loves her humans as well as their children. She tends to do best with male dogs than female dogs. Rilee loves to be close to her humans at all times especially at night. She likes to explore the outdoors but has a natural instinct to hunt and find new smells. A fenced in yard would best suit her. She enjoys walks but is still learning to walk with her owner rather than pulling. She is responsive to her name, food/treat driven and loves bones of all types. Rilee is being fostered in Marshall, MI but can make the trip to IN for an approved adopter. Please submit an application via our website, anassafehavenrescue.org, for consideration.

Story
It is with a heavy heart that we find ourselves needing to rehome our beloved dog, Hank. We’ve had him since he was just a puppy, and we affectionately refer to him as our Kroger dog, as we adopted him from someone giving away puppies outside the store. Hank is a gentle soul who gets along well with cats, female dogs, and even chickens, although he does have a playful instinct to chase them occasionally. Over the past two years, Hank has grown up alongside our 7-year-old son. Unfortunately, he doesn’t view our son as a primary member of the family and has shown signs of aggression towards him, particularly when we’re not around. This behavior has also extended to friends and cousins who visit us. Despite our efforts with online training for both Hank and our son, we haven’t seen the improvements we hoped for, and we’re concerned about the potential for things to escalate. It’s clear that Hank would thrive in a home without children. He has such sweet eyes and loves to snuggle, and whil

If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Hi, I'm Zena.  I am looking for my forever home.  I'm a beautiful and unique looking girl who is playful and sweet once I'm comfortable.  I'm a young girl born around April of 2023.  I like a good walk and do pretty well on leash.  I do well with dogs, cats, and respectful kids.  It takes me a while to warm up to strangers, and I probably wouldn't be great with toddlers.  School aged kids would probably be best.  My breed mix is anyone's guess.  I look like a I could have some catahoula leopard dog, maybe some beagle, maybe some bully breed.  It's really hard to say.     I'm crate trained and working on housebreaking.  I'm also spayed, microchipped, current on my shots, and HW negative.  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application and my friends with ARPO will be in touch! If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please complete the online Adoption Application.  If you would like to donate to this pet's care, please click here. November 9, 2024, 10:21 pm
