Story
Kallie was a stray and we took her in with intentions of finding her a new home and we have been unable to do so. She is a great dog that loves the outdoors and being able to run free in a backyard. She does well as the leader of a pack and gets along with other dogs. She would do great with someone who has a lot of property. She is kennel trained and knows the command to go to her kennel. She is a great dog and if we could keep her we would.

Story
Needing to rehome our girl, Isla. Located in Jacksonville, FL . We adopted Isla almost 2 years ago from a shelter. Approximately 3-4 year old female spayed 55lbs Catahoula mix. We love her very much, but despite making lots of progress with training, she is too intense for our other 2 senior dogs and it's become a problem in our home. Does fine with our cranky cat who bosses her around. She is active but also a really good snuggly couch potato. She currently has a large fenced in yard( 1/4 acre) and will need a fenced in yard if rehomed. Ideally rehomed with someone who has experience with Catahoulas or similar breeds. She loves to chase lizards and loves to be outside. She is great in her kennel. No storm or noise phobias. In an ideal home, she'd be the only dog, although she has gotten along well and very playful with other young male dogs. She's had very minimal exposure to small children while with us, but I'm guessing she'd probably be too big and klutzy with small kids.

Story
Dixie and Britten were transferred in from Glynn County Animal Services. They definitely appear to be Catahoula Leopard mixes. Also, we believe that Dixie is most likely Britten`s mom. We aren`t privy to how they ended up at an animal control facility. We are guessing they were strays. Dixie and Britten have the usual personalities of this breed. Very alert, nose to the ground, taking in all the news and somewhat independent. Catahoulas are a working breed, so it would be a great idea to research them before adopting. Certainly you couldn`t ask for more dedicated, loyal dogs. Dixie and Britten are good with other dogs. Although they won`t win any awards for walking on a leash, they do pretty well. Of course, practice makes perfect! Britten tested heartworm negative on arrival. Dixie tested heartworm positive, and is available as a foster to adopt. She will of course be treated here. Email reception@hsscg.org for an appointment to meet these lovely ladies. Alternatively you can just come on in. We are open 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Both are spayed, microchipped and current on core vaccines.

Story
Y'all! I'm one handsome boy and I have a great personality to go with my amazing looks! I'm not full of myself, but I do think my merle markings are pretty cool! I'm a pretty easy going puppy that just wants the simple things in life like food, treats, toys, and a soft bed for me to lay in after playing all day, but I'm ready for this amazing stuff called air conditioning! I heard it's amazingly awesome! If you would like to give me a home with those things and lots of love, I would love to be your forever friend!

Story
Hello! I like to hang out with the other puppies getting into all kinds of puppy mischief like going in the horse pastures when we shouldn't. I'm a little shy with new people and that's because of my upbringing and now I'm at this placed called a rescue. I like it here, but definitely like the food and snacks the best! I would love a home with lots of snacks and toys for me to eat and play with. If you think you can give me a fun and loving life, I would love to go home with you!
