Story
AN ACTIVE & FUN PUP:  Approx. 9-10 months old / Approx. 26 lbs. & growing Hello – I’m Casanova!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so happy to be on the journey to my new home with their help.  I recently spent time in a great temporary foster home, where I got a glimpse of the great life that awaits me in a home of my very own.  I also spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot!  Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them.  When I first arrived, I was very skinny and felt the need to guard my food, but now that I’m feeling comfortable and secure with the help of the amazing trainers in the prison/foster training program, that behavior has improved dramatically.  Just to be safe, I should still be fed separately.  I can also now share toys and take treats next to another dog.  My MM trainer would be happy to show you this and I hope to continue improving.  If you have a friendly dog who would enjoy a young companion and if you are comfortable keeping food separate and following the protocols that MM has established for me, let’s meet! / Cats unknown, but to be safe please feed us separately.  / I haven’t met kids yet, so if you have kids that are old enough to understand how to be respectful and cautious around my food, let’s meet.  I am thinking teens and up would be best.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a very active and friendly guy who wiggled and wagged my whole body when I saw my foster – adorable!  I’m not shy about registering my opinion about things that bother me and I did find my voice in my temp. foster home, lol.  I’m a young dog so I am still exploring the world and using my mouth, though I do respond to correction.  Fun and playful, I will bring lots of love and adventure to my new home. / My energy level is 7-9 and I will need my furever family to understand my breed as I’m a working breed dog well as my need for regular exercise. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I have learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ ‘drop it’, ‘place’, and ‘leave it’ commands.  I also accept nice strangers without jumping on them and I use proper door etiquette, too.  I’m currently working on my leash walking manners.  Let's continue my training as there are classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs.  Still playfully mouthy, I do love to nibble on pants, ankles and shoes.  Luckily, this is very easily corrected now that my trainer has taught me the ‘leave it’ command.  / My crate manners were good in my foster home. / My potty habits have been good on the prison/foster training program’s schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love large rope toys. They are great for tug-o-war and for burning up energy.  Once I am all tuckered out, I love a comfy dog bed for recharging my batteries.  I would like a dog savvy owner who understands my working breed and is ready to get some regular exercise together!  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we will enjoy doing together. / I was afraid of my reflection in the mirror or in windows, but my foster showed me it was all good.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and neutered.   If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    April 25, 2026, 8:20 am

Story
Penny is the kind of dog who turns an ordinary afternoon into an adventure. 🐾 She’s a 1-year-old Catahoula mix with a bright spirit and a big love for the outdoors—long walks, backyard fetch marathons, and showing off her impressive mid-air treat-catching skills are her specialties. She’s crate-trained, house-trained (she rings a bell to go outside like a polite little genius), and has completed both beginner and intermediate training at PetSmart, so her foundation is strong. She’s healthy, up to date on vet care, and ready to thrive.Penny would do best with an active person or family who can match her energy and give her the consistency she deserves. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and the kind of full-body tail wags that feel like a celebration every time you walk in the door. Bonus: she smiles when you rub her belly. 💛

Story
‘WINTER OLYMPICS’ THEMED MOMMA:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 43 lbs. & needs to gain more   Hi there, I’m Elana - momma to the Winter Olympics themed puppies.  My puppies and I came to Mostly Mutts, thanks to a kind person who helped all of us get here safely.  I’ve finished raising them in a wonderful foster home and now I’m excited to find a loving family of my own - one where I can enjoy lots of fun, activity and love furever!    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I absolutely LOVE playing with the dogs in my foster home!  I am pretty energetic and may be a bit much for a dog who is not looking for an active doggie friend.  If you have a dog who is looking for a fur friend to have big play sessions with, let’s meet! / When I am in a chill mood, I pretty much ignore the kitties in my foster home, but – when I am in play mode, I do a good bit of play bowing and try to be mouthy with them – though I have never harmed them.  All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would do with other cats. / I like the kids I’ve met while with my foster family.  I’m super active and a jumpy, mouthy  player, so older children in my new home would be best while I learn good play manners with kids.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super sweet and friendly girl who is pretty submissive.  I get really excited to meet new people because I think everyone might be my new best friend.  I’ve got a curious, free spirit and I love exploring the world around me - if it’s something I can sniff, pick up, or check out with my mouth or paws, I’m definitely interested!  New places can make me a little nervous at first, and when I get overwhelmed, I might try to run away, so I need someone who will help me feel safe and keep a close eye on me while I’m learning.  A yard with a privacy fence would be a great fit for me to play in and explore with you.  I’m still figuring out how to live in a home, so I don’t really have my manners down yet, but my foster is working with me.  I’ll need a patient person who knows a bit about dogs and training to guide me with kindness and consistency. If you’re willing to help me learn and grow, I promise to give you lots of love, gentle hugs, and loyal companionship in return.  My foster says I am ‘funny to watch and a joy to have around’ – I bet you will agree! / My energy level is 6-8, though I can be quite chill one moment and full-on energy the next – lol. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and have pretty good leash walking manners.  I’m working on the ‘down’ command in my foster home and would love to learn more.  Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I whine a little when I first go in the kennel, but I settle down pretty quickly.  I’ve not needed to be crated at night recently and have spent the last couple of weeks sleeping in my foster’s room. / My potty habits are a work in progress.  I’ve made good strides and have started to pace and whine to signal that I need to go out.  I am still having a few accidents, so please be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play with my doggie friends and – when it is time for a game of tug of war, I may include my people in the fun, too!  Treat puzzle toys are very engaging for me, and I love peanut butter-filled Kong toys as well.  Stuffed toys are just the best and – a true cuddle bug, I love affection in the evening - especially hugs. / Most dogs enjoy Pumpkin puree, but I think it’s icky.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t be happy in a home that’s not patient and willing to train me and like all dogs, I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I have a few lumps in my mammary glands which may be from nursing – this is being monitored and will be rechecked approx. mid-April – just ask about it.  I’m taking a medication called Trazadone to help adjust to home life.  I hope to wean off of it in my new home over time.   I am looking for a loving home with a family that will continue my training as I learn all the things that will help me be a great companion!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    April 25, 2026, 8:20 am
