Story
This sweet girl is 5 years old and originally belonged to my brother, who has since passed away. After his death, she was left living a life she didn’t choose — spending most of her years outdoors on a chain with very little socialization. Because of that, she is extremely energetic and craves attention. She isn’t aggressive — she simply never learned boundaries or basic training and is now discovering what affection feels like. Since being in my care, she has gained healthy weight, looks great, and shows just how loving and people-oriented she truly is. I believe she is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, which explains her intelligence, loyalty, and high energy. She will need a patient, committed adopter who understands under-socialized dogs and is willing to invest time in training and structure. She is not yet spayed; adoption will include a spay agreement. She will never live on a chain again. I am dedicated to finding her a responsible, loving home where she can finally thrive.

Meet Potato! He was found along with his litter mates left in a box at someone's house. We were able to take them in and continue bottle feeding the puppies. Potato is beginning to take on a personality that is loving, playful, and curious! He would be a great addition to your home! To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were.
