Story
Rowdy is a wonderful, loving, young Catahoula about 1 yr old. We adopted him from the shelter this past April, and he has been a joy. He's lively, active, athletic, and very affectionate. Unfortunately, our older dog has grown increasingly aggressive toward Rowdy and attacks him regularly - thus the reason we would like to rehome him. Rowdy loves toys and never meets a stranger. He's a very handsome guy -- tri-colored with one blue eye and one blue/brown eye. He's great with kids so far, but at ~70 pounds, he may be a bit much for small ones/toddlers. He also gets along well with other dogs that he's met (he even tries so hard to be our older dog's friend despite his aggression). With Rowdy you get a loyal friend who is up-to-date on his shots, neutered, house/crate trained and well-cared for. We have his X-large crate that will come with him as well. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to arrange a meet and greet.

Story
Dakota is a young adult probably 3 years old. He weighs about 65 lb. When he arrived he was heartworm positive. He has completed treatment as is doing great. Dakota is friendly but can be distrustful of strangers at first. He walks well on leash and will sit when asked. He can pull a bit. I use a training collar on him. He is well mannered. He will jump up but I've not had him put his feet on me. He loves attention and enjoys going for hikes with me. He would become a devoted, protective companion. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative (on monthly heartworm and flea preventive) and are microchipped. Upon adoption, the microchip will be registered with your contact information and you will be eligible to activate a free 30 day health insurance policy. If you are interested in Dakota, please contact Gail Posey at 678-361-7304 or email pspp_inc@yahoo.com.

Story
Levi is a LARGE boy for his breed. He is sweet as pie, but due to his size he is misunderstood. He would do best in a single dog home and one with only adults. He needs a strong handler and one that is willing to work with him. Levi will do best with a large enclosed fence, or even better yet a large pasture/farmland to run on. Levi is just a big goof ball at heart!

Story
This handsome gentleman is named Zydeco, and he is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! Don't believe us? Come meet him and see for yourself! Zydeco came to the shelter on 1/29 because he became lost on a great adventure. Now Zydeco is waiting to meet the new forever family he can give all of his love and adoration to. Zydeco is just 5 years old and weighs approx. 36lbs - perfect size for a dog his size, but trust us, it's all love! He'll make the perfect snuggle companion. The volunteers describe him as sweet, cute, nice looking, and treat motivated. He is a little shy but if you give him a chance to decompress outside the shelter, he will slowly open to you. You just have to give him the patience he deserves. Patience is the key to a successful pet and pet parent relationship folks. He a smart cookie as he knows commands of sit when asked and he may know more. He loves to take his time to smell everything outside! Zydeco is up-to-date on his vaccines, has tested negative for heartworms, and is neutered; he will be microchipped upon his adoption. He'll be patiently and happily waiting to meet his new family in Kennel 800, ID# 7815. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
