Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Six sweet pups came to PRBJ from Georgia.  They made the long road trip in search of their forever homes.    New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We recommend the ENTIRE family attend puppy training classes. This ensures that all family member are using the same commands and techniques.     Please note a fenced yard is preferred for this baby to romp and safely play. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 28, 2024, 1:22 pm

Story
Bindi is a uniquely beautiful 6 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog. She is housebroken, has a mellow energy level and is calm and well behaved in the home - she is already trustworthy in the house and does not need a crate or kennel. While she does well meeting new people outside of the home, she is protective over her home and belongings when guests come into her home. The rescue will provide new training for an adopter at no cost to help her start off on the right foot at learning to allow guests to come into the home successfully, but she will need an experienced, committed adopter ready to work with her. She would do best with an experienced, patient adopter and a quiet household without a lot of people coming and going. Bindi is part of our rehoming program and her current family is rehoming her because she does not get along well with the other dog in her home. Bindi is not reactive when meeting new dogs out in public or on walks but again struggles with sharing her space and belongings with them. She would do best as the only dog in the home. We are recommending a home without small children for Bindi, older kids would be okay.  Adoption fee $150, Bindi is spayed and current on vaccines. Located in Orlando, FL. ##2008383##

Story
Precious is a sweet, shy 3 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. She lives with other dogs and kitty cats and does well with both, would do great in a home with other furry companions. She is a little shy and avoidant with people she does not know, she will need a calm, patient adopter willing to do a few meetings to earn her trust before she goes home. Because she is nervous with new people, we are not recommending her to a home with small children as they would probably stress her out. We are hoping there is a quiet household with experience and patience willing to give this sweet, shy girl a loving home. She is housebroken and well behaved at home.  Adoption fee $150, she is spayed and current on vaccines. Located in Orlando, FL. Adoptions are by appointment only. Please fill out an application so we can get to know you better.  ##2229861##

Story
Hi, I'm Ed. I've been at Second Chance for over 2 years now. I am a young, energetic, sweet boy. Did I say energetic? I love to go outside and play, or take walks. If you are looking for the adventurous type for hikes and outdoorsy fun, I'm your guy!  I'm a little dog and people selective, I do best with female dogs and will do best with a confident and experienced dog owner.  Also, no DNA tests have been done, so no one knows for sure what breed I am. I look like I might have Catahoula Leopard Dog in my mix and probably some bully. This means home ownership to adopt me is required! I have all had all of my shots, and am neutered. Also included in my adoption fee, is a registered microchip and a full set of medical records for you and my future vet! If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for a meet and greet. I'm looking forward to meeting you! If you're interested in adopting 2 dogs, my bestest friend, Georgie is also available for adoption at a significantly reduced fee if you take us both! Only applicants who meet the following current requirements will be considered: - Homeownership, no renters - Fenced yard not required, but preferred - Applicant must be 25 years of age or older ##1581433##

Story
Charlie is a gorgeous and loving 5-6 yr old, very energetic Catahoula/Foxhound mix adopted from a private owner who was moving and couldn't take a dog. He is UTD on all shots and weighs 72lbs. He's Housebroken & Crate-trained. He doesn't like brooms, but loves his pet vacuum. Possible allergies cause him to scratch a bit, and he can get ear infections but takes meds without a fuss. He's is very docile at the Vet. She wishes he'd teach her other canine patients how to behave. He loves car rides but does not like taking walks out of his own backyard. Fetch is his favorite high-energy game. He's very protective and is a great guard dog. Strangers and mailmen tend to spook him and cause him to bark or bolt. I've had both knees replaced and he's caused me to fall several times, which is the main reason I need to find him a new home. He gets along with other dogs. He has a QR code tag on his collar but no micro-chip. A farm or home with active older children would ideal.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Willard has been with our rescue for 1 year and 8 months. He is wondering if there is anyone out there who will give him his forever home.  Willard is a 5-year-old Walker Hound mix that weighs 52 pounds. When Willard came to Lil Rascals almost two years ago, he was paralyzed in his back legs, had infected sores and wounds, an untreated UTI, and was emaciated, weighing less than 40 lbs. His owners at the time said he had sudden onset paralysis 5 months prior, took him to UF where surgery was performed on his spine. The surgery did not help him, so his owners rightfully began taking him to rehab. But they soon abandoned rehab for him because they no longer had the time and he sadly reverted to where he was. Lil Rascals got him back into rehab right away, where he had to start all over with therapy, this time weekly. He has not only gained strength, muscle mass and mobility, but he has also gotten joy back in his life. He now has a cart which has given him mobility again. He is a sweet boy that always wants to be near his person. He loves taking naps under the desk while his foster moms work. He lets you know when he has to go out with a distinct vocal bark. He is incontinent and has accidents so he wears a belly band. His favorite thing is going outside with his “wheels!”  He can go anywhere in his wheels and loves to go on walks and even runs sometimes. He attempts to bear weight on his back legs but he can not use them to walk. Willard enjoys car rides and meeting new people. He’s been around multiple cats and both small and medium-sized dogs and gets along great with them. He’s always ready to eat and takes daily probiotics. He enjoys busy bones like yak chews and bully sticks. He currently takes medication but the vet has been decreasing those. He loves hugs and attention but is also content to lie on his bed beside you and nap. Willard needs a family who will love and spoil him but be sympathetic to his special needs. He will need to continue to attend weekly rehab therapy so he doesn’t decline, but he is definitely making progress. He needs a home without a pool or stairs, and a home where someone can be home with him most of the time. If you think you can give this special boy a special home, please complete Willard's app and tell us more about your family. November 5, 2024, 7:56 am
