Story
Bumble came to H.A.L.O. over 1,632 days ago!…I was born in a loving foster home to my mom Brooklyn Bagel! I got adopted right away along with my littermates, but sadly I was under-socialized. As I grew up, I became more and more fearful of the world around me and a nip to a child sent me back to H.A.L.O.While I am considered a “Misfit,” I am really one of the gold stars around here! I love all of my humans, and I have a lot of fans. I need a proper introduction, meaning you can’t just run up to pet me. But, once I feel you will not hurt me, I am a loyal friend for life.My nickname varies from Bumble Bee to T-Rex because I love to stand on my hind legs and dance around. I love toys and am super treat motivated, which I hear is a good thing cause I’ll do whatever you ask of me!My ideal home is an adult family that’s fairly quiet, no other children 2 or 4 legged. I am not outwardly opposed, but they can trigger my lack of confidence and bring up fears that in the moment can cause me to make bad decisions, that I regret, so let’s keep life easy and just make it us!Requirements: Misfit, Handler Appt Only; Martingale CollarAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
I am really a great boy, but being deaf has given me high anxiety. Once I am given the time and quiet to bond to my family, I am a cuddle bug. I enjoy naps, ice cream and I treasure a hard nylon toy. I am good left alone in the house and am also used to being crated. I know hand signals and am your velcro dog. You will never feel alone with me around! All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
Oakley is a lovable, energetic dog with a lot of potential and a heart full of affection. Since coming into foster care, Oakley has been a great house guest – he’s fully house-trained and has never had any accidents. He walks beautifully on a leash and loves spending time with children, always gentle and kind with them. However, Oakley is a bit nervous around men and needs time and patience to feel comfortable. With the right family, he’ll thrive, especially if there are kids he can bond with! While Oakley is still learning not to chew on fabric (he has a history with couch cushions and fleece blankets), he’s improving every day. He’ll need a family that can continue to work with him on this and provide appropriate chew toys to redirect his behavior. We’ve also been working on curbing his humping behavior, and he’s made great strides! He’s a fast learner and very eager to please, especially when given positive reinforcement.Oakley is looking for a loving home with a family that can give him the patience and positive reinforcement he needs to feel secure. If you’re ready to help this sweet boy grow and shine, Oakley could be the perfect addition to your family!I am currently in a foster home, but if you are interested in making me yours forever please speak with our Office Staff and they can let you know what steps to take! Requirements: Martingale CollarAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
Emily seems to have zero interest in other dogs and wasn’t interested in the tester dog. Is excited to see people at first but then slows down to have low-medium energy. She enjoys chewing on her bone, going for walks and being petted. Is a staff favorite due to her loving and fun demeanor. Spayed and vaccinated. Emily lived in a home but her owner went to jail. He/she was going to be in jail for a while and asked a friend to surrender her to the shelter. Based on her appearance when she was surrendered it was unknown how long she had been left alone before being surrendered. Emily was on the euth list at this rural shelter and the kennel staff felt so strongly about her that they fought for her life. Emily is an easy going gal who will make an excellent companion and make her new owner laugh a lot! She instantly wins the heart of anyone who meets her and is so ready to have a home of her own.
