Story
This adorable pup is full of love, energy, and curiosity! Like all young dogs, this baby is still learning the ropes and will need training, patience, and plenty of guidance to grow into a well-mannered companion. With consistent positive reinforcement and lots of love, this little one will thrive! Bringing a puppy into your home is a lifelong commitment— this baby will depend on you for care, exercise, and companionship for years to come. If you're ready for the joys (and challenges!) of puppyhood and a best friend for life, your new puppy is excited to meet you!

Story
EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Capable FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Semi-Pro FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Social LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes Meet Seymour ("See More") Age: 1 Year Old Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Seymour, affectionately known as "See More," is a playful and loving pup with a sense of humor as bright as his personality. Despite being vision-impaired and deaf, he’s all about "seeing" (and feeling) more of the world around him—he’s always up for a game of fetch with a high-visibility, brightly-colored toy or ball, or an exciting adventure with his human and dog pals. Seymour is a total cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up on the couch and bask in all the love you have to offer. His adorable charm isn’t affected by his lack of sight or hearing—he’s still a big fan of people and dog friends alike! With his gentle nature and playful spirit, he makes the perfect companion for anyone looking to add some joy and warmth to their lives. Seymour might not be able to navigate his surroundings as well as others and may present unique training challenges, but he sure knows how to bring happiness into it with his antics. Ready to meet this lovable little guy? He’s excited to "see more" of life with you! Due to his unique challenges, we have some books and tool recommendations to make transitioning into your home easier for you AND Seymour. There is a device called a "Halo" that fits like a harness and creates a ring in front of his body to give him feedback via the harness to stop him before he walks into a hard surface and potentially injures himself. There are also vibration collars that can be used to assist training for dogs that are hearing impaired. Because he can see SOME shapes, he has benefited in our care from sign language training with the help of "Acorns DEAFinitely Awesome Dictionary of Signs" book, which has pictures and descriptions of easy-to-use American Sign Language commands. All of these tools are available online!

Story
Meet Copper, a 4 year old catahoula mix. If you're looking for a social dog, Copper is your guy. He gets very excited when he sees new people, he will go right up to greet them. Copper has had positive experiences with everyone, the youngest being a 3 month old baby, so he is almost a professional babysitter. Copper gets along great with other dogs though he has not had an opportunity to greet a cat just yet. Copper loves his stuffed animals and especially loves them to cuddle up to at night. Copper is crate trained, so if you have to leave him alone at home, he will do just fine. He will whine to let you know when he needs to go out so do heed his warning! For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30 to 6 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday from 10:30 to 4 closed 1 to 2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month.

Asa is such a sweet snuggly affection playful little guy we are sure he will make any family or person happy. He is just a baby so the adopter needs to be prepared to house train him , work with him on a leash and everything that comes with having a new puppy. His adoption donation is $450 and he must be taken to one of our approved vets for his neuter ( this is infused in his adoption fee and we make the appointment) If you have questions about him or would like to meet him?
