Story
Penny is 8 months old. She is such a good dog, she is very active and playful. She is veryyyy trainable, she actually responds very well to commands, especially when there are treats involved! We love Penny very much and having to put her up for adoption has been a very difficult decision for our family. My youngest started having really bad allergic reactions. We have tried everything possible to keep Penny and make it work; however, my son is only getting worse and having him on medication every day is taking a toll on him. I want Penny to go to a good home, where she will have lots of attention and love. She is a special girl.

Story
Koda is a 5 year old Catahoula bulldog. I've had her since she was a puppy. She is house trained (was trained to ring a bell to go outside), knows how to fetch, sit, and shake. She is kennel trained. Loves running and jumping. She has a lot of energy and would benefit from having a yard or open space to be in. Her favorite food is peanut butter and cheese. She loves a car ride, but dislikes water (so don't try to take her swimming). She loves to lick you and will sleep with you but is not a big cuddler. My boyfriend has stage 4 cancer and unfortunately is a severe fall risk and has other complications and cannot be around her as she is a danger to him if he were to be jumped on and fall.

Story
Hey there, I'm Remus, a one-year-old Catahoula mix with a heart as big as my goofy grin! I'm all about fun and frolic, and nothing gets me more excited than a good splash in the water. Whether it's a puddle, a pond, or a full-on swimming session, count me in! I've got energy to spare and a playful spirit that's contagious. Fetch is my favorite game, but I'm also up for exploring new places and sniffing out adventures wherever I go. I may have a silly side, but I'm also a quick learner and eager to please, especially if treats are involved! At just one year old, I'm still learning the ropes and could benefit from a family who's willing to continue teaching me manners and tricks. With my enthusiasm and willingness to learn, I promise to make training sessions as enjoyable as they are productive. I get along well with other dogs and people alike, making friends wherever I wag my tail. My affection knows no bounds, and I'm always ready to snuggle up for some quality cuddle time after a day of play. If you're searching for a lively and loving addition to your family, someone who embodies goofiness and joy, then Remus is your guy. Come meet me, and let's make a splash together in the journey of life! Story
Volunteer Notes:I had the privilege of taking Blu (A554680), a stunning black and white dog, on a Doggie Day Out adventure. From the moment she warmed up to me in her time, which was remarkably just seconds, Blu showered me with affection, her kisses overflowing all day, making me feel deeply loved and valued. This sweet girl is yearning for stability in her life and finds solace in the comfort of people around her. Blu`s story is one of resilience, having been surrendered by her previous owner due to financial constraints. At just two years old, she was thrust into the challenging kennel environment, leaving her feeling uncertain and lost. As we spent the day together, I witnessed Blu`s confidence blossom. She walked elegantly on the leash, displaying sensitivity and curiosity towards various sounds, and found comfort in my encouraging words. While she stuck her nose in the toy box wanting a toy she just didn`t feel confident yet making me sad for this beautiful girl. Later, Blu`s fascination with squeaky toys began to motivate interest in play. In the backyard, she reveled in back rubs, staying close by my side, and even snuggled up beside me on the chaise lounge, basking in the warmth of the sun. As she explored the yard, her nose leading the way, Blu began to exude a sense of freedom and joy. Her bath time was a testament to her growing trust, and her thick fur felt luxuriously soft once more. Our final stop was Starbucks, where they always give me a big cup when I tell them I have a shelter pup out for day. Blu`s excellent manners earned her a well-deserved pup cup, which she lapped up with the best of manners. As I reflect on our time together, I am reminded that Blu needs time to adjust to a new home, but once she does, she will blossom into a loyal companion, showering her family with love and devotion, and perhaps even becoming a velcro dog, always by their side.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Maizie, Maizie is the sweetest, most affectionate 5-yr old girl you'll ever meet. Maizie is not only a loving companion, always ready for cuddles and snuggles, but she's also knows multiple commands including sit, stay, shake, place, leave it, and get it. She is house-trained and eager to please. She loves spending time with her humans, whether it's lounging on the couch or enjoying a long walk. Maizie has had a dog sibling the last two years, but now as she has matured, Maizie needs to be the only dog in her home. She is still dog friendly while on walks or in public. She has a heart as big as her love for belly rubs and will follow you around the house just to be near you. Her desire to be close makes her the ideal companion for anyone looking for a loyal, well-behaved, and cuddly best friend. Maizie has never been around cats, is scared of water, but loves car rides!! She is not afraid of thunder or fireworks and will actually sit by the window to watch fireworks She also loves to sunbathe outside in the grass so a fenced in yard would be preferred. Older children only please as she adjusts to a new home after being in the same one for the last five years.
