Story
Hello! My name is Delilah.  Here is some information about me: Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog Age: 2 years Gender: Female Weight: 25 lbs Height: TBD Highlights: Small, loyal, playful, best friend material Meet Delilah - Your Future Best Friend! Hi there! My name is Delilah, and I’m a 2-year-old female Catahoula Leopard Dog looking for my forever home. My journey started when I wandered up to a business in Victoria, Texas, and, sadly, no one ever came to claim me. But that’s okay because I believe it was fate leading me to find you! I’m a very sweet girl with a big heart, and I absolutely love to cuddle and get lots of attention. There’s nothing better than snuggling up next to someone who loves me! I get along wonderfully with other dogs and kids, so I’d fit right in with pretty much any family. Whether you have a bustling household or a quieter one, I’m sure I’ll feel right at home. Let me tell you a little bit about my breed. Catahoula Leopard Dogs are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and striking good looks. We’re often referred to as "velcro dogs" because we love to stick close to our people. We’re also very energetic and playful, making us great companions for outdoor adventures. If you like hiking, running, or even just playing in the yard, I’d be thrilled to join you! Despite my playful side, I also know how to relax and be calm when it’s time to wind down. I’m very adaptable and can adjust to different lifestyles and environments, which makes me a great fit for any type of family setup. The best part? If you’re an amazing family in Vancouver, BC, don’t worry about the distance. Easy transport can be arranged to get me to you, so I can start my new life with you as soon as possible! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion, look no further. I can’t wait to meet you and become a cherished member of your family. Let’s create beautiful memories together! Love, Delilah Energy Level:  Moderate Energy I get along with: Dogs: Yes Cats: Yes Kids: Yes Fears/Prey Drive: None observed Training: Yes Leash Skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue with my training. Housetrained: Yes.  Please assist me in learning where to go in my new home. Health: I am healthy, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. My adoption fee is $850 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Includes my transport to Canada. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2066707##

Story
Introducing Theo, a stunning two-year-old male Catahoula Leopard Dog with a nose for adventure and a heart full of love. If you're seeking a loyal companion with a zest for life, Theo could be the perfect match for you!Theo is an active and curious boy who absolutely loves going on long walks and exploring new scents - a typical hound dog! His keen sense of smell and inquisitive nature make every walk an exciting adventure. Theo loves any journey that includes LOTS of sniffing! Theo is a hound dog, so his future home should anticipate that he is a vocal boy, especially if left along for long periods. Theo's past is a bit of a mystery as he came into care as an unclaimed stray. When Theo knows you, he's a boisterous goofball who is sure to make you laugh. But when Theo is meeting new people, he is quite afraid. He needs reassurance that the new person he is meeting is a friend, not someone to fear. Theo will bark and try to get away from new people who scare him. He will need a quiet and calm home committed to building his confidence in new settings and with new people over time. We've recently discovered Theo LOVES to play in the kid's pool we've put in the back of his kennel! He will splash around and even stick his nose under water to blow bubbles! It only really takes one meet with Theo to see why this guy is so special. He has such a sweet and playful nature, and boy does he LOVE to play tug-o-war! Theo's love for treats makes him highly motivated and easy to train. He's eager to please and quick to learn, making him a great candidate for further obedience training or even fun activities like agility or scent work. Theo is a bit unsure how he feels about other animals (and we have never seen him around cats). He seems to be selective with the dogs he likes to be around. We adore Theo and can't wait to see who scoops this hilarious boy up! Drop in from 12pm-3pm daily (except Mondays) or fill out an online application! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 24.7 Age: 2yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
🐾 Hello!! 🐾 I'm Gordo "Puppy" Padilla, a beautiful 2-year-old Brindle Shepherd-Pit mix with a heart full of love. I'm gentle and sweet, and every day I'm getting more and more confident! I'm new to leash training, but I'm a very smart boy eager to learn and making great progress with crate training in my foster home. I get along well with other dogs and would love a sibling to play with 🌟 I haven't met any cats yet, but I'm comfortable playing with older children (5+) and would make a great family dog! One of my absolute favorite activities is playing with my ball—I'm a fetch superstar! 🎾 I simply love the water, whether it's swimming, running through sprinklers, or splashing in puddles—these are my absolute favorites. 🌊💦 I'd be over the moon to have a fenced yard of my own to play in. 🌈 I'm very smart and eager to learn, making me a great candidate for daily routines and training. 📚 I'd also love to go to the beach with you, learn to paddleboard, or embark on any adventure together! 🏖️🏄‍♂️🗺️ I can't wait to meet you and become the playful, loving addition to your family! 🐾 -Gordo is still young, he will need a family committed to his training and socialization. Continued leash training, crate training, and daily exercise are essential to help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who enjoys fetch and water play, Gordo Padilla is the perfect match. With patience and love, he will become a wonderful addition to your family. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioural characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
