Story
Mocha was found as a stray a few months ago and all shelters were full so we took her in and prvided all vet care for her along with basic training. Mocha is beautiful young energetic love bug/velcro dog. She loves to play, go for walks and sleep right next to her person. She is very food motivated and easy to train. She knows basic commands such as sit, wait, off, leave it and down. She is housebroken and crate trained. She has lived with other big dogs and small dogs. She loves to play and so any fur siblings need to love to play. She would be fine as an only dog. She has also been around cats and chickens. She is interested in them but has not been left alone with them. Mocha needs a family that can play with her, take her for walks and has a comfy bed to sleep on at night. She is a great car rider and loves to go get a pup cup from Starbucks or travel the back roads with the windows down.

Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Meet Sue Sue! This sweet girl was saved from a bad situation where she spent her life on a chain and having puppies! Thankfully, an amazing foster stepped up and this girl has been moved to a foster home and she’s adjusting beautifully to the indoor good life. She’s a gorgeous red Merle Catahoula mix. She’s great with all size dogs. She loves people and is just as sweet as they come. She will complete her vetting 9/25/24 and will then be adoption ready!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
