Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/

Story
Meet Opie – The Playful, Cuddly Catahoula Cutie! 🐶💖 Opie is a three-month-old Catahoula mix who’s already making big impressions! He’s a little ball of energy who absolutely adores playing with every dog toy he can get his paws on—especially anything stuffed (it doesn’t stand a chance for more than 0.2 seconds! 😂). But don’t let all that rambunctious fun fool you; this pup is also the most affectionate, loving snuggle-bug around, ready to give you the sweetest, big ol’ kisses. 😘🐾 When he’s not busy being the ringleader of playful mischief (especially when his brother’s involved in some escapades 🐕‍🦺💨), Opie’s favorite pastime is curling up with the kids to watch Disney movies. 🎬🍿 And when the day winds down, he’ll be right there by your side—attached to your hip as he snoozes 😴 and waking up every morning with the happiest, most contagious attitude. ☀️😄 Adoption Details: His adoption fee of $300 includes his neuter, vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. 🩺💉 Ready to welcome this adorable mischief-maker into your life? Story
Meet Leopold, a delightful 1.5-year-old Catahoula mix who is as beautiful as he is loving! 🐾❤️ With his striking features and gentle eyes, he draws you in instantly. Leopold is not just a pet; he’s a big, sweet boy whose affectionate nature shines through every moment you spend with him. He adores cuddling and prefers to lounge around, soaking up all the love and warmth from his human companions rather than being overly active. Leopold’s story is one of resilience and strength. He has faced significant adversity; someone shot him with a gun, leaving him with fragments in his body. It’s hard to believe that such a gentle soul has experienced such pain, but Leopold continues to display an incredible spirit. The vet has assured us that the fragments aren’t causing him any problems and would be challenging to remove. They certainly don’t hinder his zest for life. This lovable boy is not only friendly but also incredibly social. He gets along fabulously with children, making him an excellent choice for families looking to add a furry member to their household. Leopold is also comfortable around other pets, including cats and dogs, which means he can seamlessly integrate into a multi-pet home. His calm demeanor and sociable nature make him the perfect companion for playdates or lazy afternoons spent lounging in the sun. Leopold is ready for his forever home and comes fully prepared, as he is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He’s on the lookout for a loving family that will appreciate his gentle spirit and provide him with the affection he longs for. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will bring joy, comfort, and a sense of warmth to your life, look no further than Leopold. He can’t wait to meet you and start a new chapter filled with love and happiness! ❤️
