Story
Sweet Bobtail Barn Cat Seeks New Kingdom (AKA Your Couch or Farm) I actually like kids! Pip is a super friendly, affectionate cat around 9 years old. He loves everyone and is happy as either an indoor cuddle bug or an outdoor adventurer. He can live both comfortably in a home and also enjoyed roaming around a barn property. He has the cutest little bobtail-like nub that he ended up with after an accident years ago. It doesn't bother him at all and just adds to his charm. I truly love him, but after having kids, I developed severe allergies and now break out in hives just from touching him. It has been a really hard decision, but he deserves a home where he can get all the love and attention he thrives on. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion, Pip would be a wonderful addition to your life.

Story
Meet Zelda, our sweet and cuddly cat who has been with us since she was a kitten. She’s front-paw declawed (done before we realized it wasn’t recommended) and absolutely loves to nap and snuggle. Zelda thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can receive lots of love and attention. In our busy household with young kids, she has occasionally peed outside the litter box, likely due to stress as that’s what the vet said as well. We believe she would do much better in a peaceful home where she can feel secure and relaxed. If you’re looking for a loving companion and can provide a calm space for her, Zelda would make a wonderful addition to your family.

Story
Pixie joined our family about two years ago. Unfortunately, we are looking to rehome her because everyone in the household is busy with full time jobs. Since she is full of energy, we don't think it would be fair to her if she doesn't get the attention that she needs. She is close to three years old. Before we adopted her, she was in a hoarding situation with several other cats. Due to her past, it is best for her to have a cat friend and to have someone whom is patient with her and willing to work with her energy. I do think she would be okay with being the only cat as well. She is amazing with our 10 year old cat. She tends to hide when a ton of people are over and she isn't the biggest fan of loud noises. She is very shy but once she becomes comfortable with you, she will sit in the room that you are in and meows for treats or pets.

Story
Loki is about 2yrs old. When my aunt died I brought him home, I couldn't bear taking him to a shelter. Unfortunately, my landlord had a strict no pets policy. I told him the situation and he agreed to let Loki stay with me for a couple of weeks to try and rehome him. He sa wonderful cat; affectionate, playful, does great with both cats and dogs, and a calm demeanor (except for when he gets the zoomed lol). He is strictly an indoor cat. It would be HORRIBLE to surrender him to the shelter when he has SO much to offer and is so young.

Story
Please know that I am not posting this with ease or because I don’t love this cat, I am just at my wits end. She is “technically” house trained, she uses the litter box fine 90% of the time. I can not figure out the other 10%, I have tried different litter, food, litter box styles, litter box placements, regular cleanings (like multiple times a day), electric boxes, rewarding for good use of the box, re-potty training (which is hard when I work 10-14 hour days! Vet visits when she first started this years ago. I don’t want to crate her while I’m at work, nor put a pet diaper on her when I can’t ensure that she’s not going to get urine burn. Zoey is a character with a funky raspy meow and approximately 2.5 brain cells sometimes (I say this lovingly). She loves to be loved, she is stubborn in her determination for attention, and love. Zoey was a rescue 10 years ago this coming September, we love her, but I think she needs to be in a home with either no cats or only 1 other.

Story
Polly is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org.Polly is a very social senior gal who loves to be close to people. She loves laps and sitting next to you but she`s a little less thrilled with petting. Polly prefers that you gaze lovingly upon her and refrain from touching. Don`t fall for her cute rolling, she has a 30 second grace period for pets before she completely loses her patience. We`re recommending a teen/adult only family for Polly since she`s easily overstimulated and sensitive about being pet.
