Story
Sage is really loveable cat, but she would do well if she is the only cat. She has funny traits about her for her personality. Please can someone take her home? We already have three other cats. She is about 6 years old. She likes to lay close. Sage is an indoor cat, and she wouldn’t do well outdoors. She has never been around dogs and she probably wouldn’t do well with them either. She doesn’t do well with some cats. She likes to be the only cat for someone.

Story
**IN FOSTER! MUST SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET! NOT PHYSICALLY IN SHELTER**The Grandma & Grandpa litter was born to a current WCHS resident, Meemaw. Meemaw arrived to the shelter quite pregnant, and gave birth to 5 beautifully healthy kittens. The Meemaw litter is more on the shy side and would do best in homes that are more steady and able to create a routine for these kittens. The kittens would do best in multi-cat homes, be that with an already established older cat or a sibling from their litter. These guys need to work on their confidence, and this is typically best supported by other felines that can help keep them feeling safe and supported. These kittens come spayed & neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. Their adoption fee is $170 for a single kitten or $255 for a pairing.

Story
Gladys and Verne are a bonded pair. They came in with a litter of four that had to get split up to make medical care easier. And we determined shortly after that splitting them up further would be detrimental to their mental health. Verne is very outgoing and loves to sniff your hand, then recieve all the pets you`ll offer. Even if you`re offering those pets to Gladys, who is a little more reserved at first. But once she gets to know you, Gladys is just as sweet as her brother. You will often see them rough housing, grooming each other, and snuggling in a cuddle puddle. If these sound like a pair you might fall in love with, please come in and visit with them!Disclosure: Gladys and Verne were in shelter during the calicivirus outbreak. They are better now. However, they can still shed the virus a few weeks to a few months after contracting it. And 20% of cats can shed it for the rest of their lives. As long as the FVRCP vaccination is up-kept, living with other vaccinated cats will not be a problem. Don`t let this fact dissuade you from potentially taking home your two forever friends. If you would like to meet Gladys and Verne, come in during our open hours Sat-Wed 1-5. Verne is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. And Gladys is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
We'll also keep you updated on Gladys's adoption status with email updates.

Story
**NOT IN SHELTER, FOSTER BASED KITTY - APPOINTMENT ONLY**Persimmon is a young cat that is full of love and snuggles, while still carrying that extra orange cat spunk every cat owner knows so well. Persimmon is a very social and curious little guy that has shown us he is not the most major fan of other cats. We would ideally like to place Persimmon into a home where he can be the center of attention! Persimmon is such a smart little guy. He knows how to open lots of things, and would love to have a puzzle game in his life. If you are interested in meeting Persimmon, please contact us at (509) 332-3422 or staff@whitmanpets.org to schedule a time to do so. Persimmon is neutered, up to date on vaccine, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $90.
