Story
Carol came to us from a bad situation in May with 7 newborn babies. She raised the Brady Bunch kittens with love and is ready for for a quiet, loving home of her own. A little shy and reserved initially, Carol really turns on the charm after a little brushing, rump stritching and belly rubbing. She travels well and likes toys once comfortable.  Fine with other cats, she is fully vetted and microchipped. LOVE this sweet girl Please email megshrum@gmail.com with questions.  The Adoption Process If you are ready to meet this feline please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10664/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about their likes, dislikes, and little quirks.   The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the feline home as your furry forever friend, their adoption fee is $125. ##2060819##

Story
Frederick came to us early this year from a bad situation.  About 5 yrs old, he was living outside but had a concerned caretaker. Frederick had off and on again URIs and bad teeth. Since coming to us, he's had most teeth removed and is doing great! He's a reserved, quiet fellow, who takes a bit to warm up but so worth it Great with other cats, and probably ok with a gentle dog, Frederick would love a quiet home with comfy places to sleep. Fully vetted, he is available to meet at Lake Anna. And he's a good traveler! Please email megshrum@gmail.com with questions and follow the adoption process below. His adoption fee is waived under Meg's birthday special!
