Lacy is a beautiful and affectionate companion who enjoys the simple pleasures in life—snuggling up on a cozy blanket, basking in the sun, and getting plenty of love from her humans. While she’s a bit on the shy side at first, once she gets to know you, she’ll be your loyal friend for life.Lacy is calm, quiet, and would do best in a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and comfortable. She loves being pampered with pets and will purr contentedly once she trusts you. Lacy may need a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but with patience and understanding, she’ll quickly become a cherished member of your family. She gets along well with other cats and could be a great fit for a household with other calm pets. Lacy is fully litter trained and enjoys her quiet time but is also playful when the mood strikes. If you`re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who will melt your heart with her gentle nature, Lacy is the one for you! Story
This fabulous boy was found as a stray and rescued from a local shelter. Earl Grey is waiting for the PURRFECT forever home because he is the perfect cat! He’s out of this world sweet and gentle! Likes to be held in your arms. Earl Grey arrived in his foster home ready to curl up on a lap and say hello to everyone. No hiding or shyness from this boy! Earl is a medium energy boy who is a purr monster who likes to cuddle. He is guaranteed to become a treasured member of your family. He’s around 9 mos. old and is playful, pouncing on toys and chasing balls and strings. And did we mention how handsome he is? But don’t worry, he doesn’t mind if you love him for his good looks. He’ll gladly meet you at your door anyway. Earl loves other cats and as is the case with most young males, needs a wrestling/chasing buddy in his forever home. Looking for two? We have several others in our care with similar purrsonalities/activity levels who he could be paired up with. NOTE: He is not hypoallergenic since he is a mix. Updated 12/31/24

Story
Molly is a darling 4-year-old tuxedo who proves that big love can come in a petite package. This sweet and cuddly girl absolutely lives to be loved on. She adores being held and will happily engage with her favorite humans for endless affection. Molly’s charming personality shines brightest in a calm, quiet home where she can enjoy her space and soak up all the love you have to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with purrs and joy, Molly might just be your perfect match!Molly has a sensitive stomach due to a condition called colitis, which means her digestive system can sometimes become irritated. Right now, she’s feeling great and healthy, but she needs a little extra care to stay that way. Here’s what she’ll need from her new family:A clean litter box: Molly prefers her litter box cleaned at least twice a day to keep her comfortable.A special diet: She thrives on food that’s gentle on her stomach, which might include prescription food.Regular vet care: Colitis can occasionally flare up, so her new family should be familiar with her symptoms and ready to take her to the vet if needed.Molly may need a little extra care, but she’ll repay you with endless love and affection. Could she be the one for you? If you are interested in adopting Molly, please send an email to sme7hgb@virginia.edu to arrange an initial virtual meet and greet with the pet’s foster parent or a staff member. They will reply to you within 24-48 hours.
