Story
Meet Tony, the cat who’s full of surprises! Tony is a chatty little guy with lots to say – you’ll never feel alone with him around. He’s incredibly playful, sometimes even chasing his own tail! With a personality closer to a dog than a typical cat, Tony is super friendly and loves making new friends. But he also has a secret side; he enjoys sneaking off for a cozy nap in a hidden spot, so he would prefer a calm and quiet household to call his own. Cool, quirky, and endlessly entertaining, Tony is ready to bring laughter and joy to his new forever home!If you are interested in adopting Tony, please send an email to meowdeapt@gmail.com to arrange a virtual meet and greet with the pet`s foster parent. You should receive a reply in 24-48 hours.

Story
Pepper`s foster parent told us: `Pepper is a sweetheart, who enjoys light back scratches and occasional belly rubs. She is curious about my work and enjoys accompanying me through my workday. She is playful and loving but also appreciates her alone time.`Pepper`s favorite thing is playing with any yarn or string-related toys—she will chase them with all her passion and strength! But she`s not so into: weightlifting. She prefers running, eating, and, mostly, sleeping. Her special talents are: digging through all your Amazon packages! Her perfect day would be: a light belly rub and some Temptation treats before sleeping. If Pepper were an ice cream flavor, she would be: coffee -- the way she sleeps, she must have long work hours!Important facts about Pepper:Pepper is shy and takes some time to get comfortable with strangers. She has a history of biting from excessive petting or touching. She prefers light scratches around her neck the most. When you present your hand at first, she shows affection by rubbing her head against your fingers. However, this is not an invitation to pet her, especially if you are a stranger. Any excessive touching will agitate her, leading to a cute hiss and a possible bite. She is very treats-motivated. If she bites, I recommend that you present a treat on your hand. She will eat it from your hand and gradually show more affection over time. After about a week, she let me rub her belly lightly and give her a nice back scratch. If I`ve accidentally agitated her, she bites lightly instead - which is her way of showing comfort with me!She is very playful when you are playing with her; otherwise, she is calm during her nap hours. She enjoys being close to you while you are working. She will lie down on your desk while you work.Pepper has not met children/cats/other dogs whilst in our car. Our team is happy to discuss these topics during your virtual appointment. If you are interested in adopting Pepper, please sent an email to anonytil9@gmail.com to arrange a virtual meet and greet with the pet`s foster parent. You should receive a reply within 24-48 hours

Story
Nyx is a highly engaged, affectionate female brown tabby who loves to go on inside adventures with her human. She loves everything from belly rubs to gentle headbutts, lots of wand and toy mouse play, and following you along to explore your world as you go about your daily life. An ever present companion, she cherishes chin scritches, inclusion, and treats. Nyx loves to explore her world and the more varying heights you have available to her, the better. She is constantly perched on cat trees, sofa backs, chest of drawers, anywhere she can safely get an expanded view of her world. She is delightfully curious and wants to be in the middle of everything you do! She does great on a mix of wet and dry foods and is especially fond of temptations and churu treats with lots of fresh, cold water. She`ll come join you at the faucet and ask for a drink so we keep little ramekins around as it`s become a bonding experience with her.Nyx has a wonderful demeanor and seems to have a never ending tolerance for pets and play. Would be ideal for younger children as she has wonderful communication skills (body language and tail talk) and not easily overstimulated. She loves to be engaged at her level on the floor and will flip, chase wands, and see you as a hunting partner in all her escapades. She is quite stealthy and deftly moves around the home climbing approved areas with ease never knocking down knick knacks or decorations. Her favorite toys are feather wands, stuffed mice, and cardboard toilet paper rolls. She is also really good about using her favorite scratching posts and leaves all your furniture alone. She has purrfect litter box manners and a consistent 7&7 mealtime. When you`re busy, she enjoys dedicated cat beds, blankets, and window time in the sun.Important facts about Nyx: she is a young adult cat with good energy and desire for engagement. Her ideal family will be able to provide consistent play and enrichment opportunities throughout the day. *She has met and engaged well with other humans whilst in our care (not other cats/dogs/children) and temperament suggests she would thrive in most settings where she has space to explore and a territory of her own. Our team is happy to discuss these topics during your appointment.*If you are interested in adopting Nyx, please email khhodge@gmail.com to set up a virtual meet and greet with the pet`s foster parent. You should receive a reply in 24-48 hours.

Story
Meet Rain and Riley - Bonded Sisters Ready to Steal Your Heart! 🐾 Looking for double the love and twice the fun? Look no further! Rain and Riley, a pair of incredibly soft, bunny-furred sisters, are here to brighten your home. At 6 months old, these bonded beauties complement each other perfectly. Rain 🌧️ is the outgoing one of the duo, always ready for pets, scratches, and a bit of adventure! She hollers at the door to be let out of the foster room and is always underfoot. Rain loves to be where the action is, especially when it involves people, water, or food. Riley 🌈, on the other hand, has a gentle, reserved charm. She’s a bit shy at first and appreciates being given the space to approach on her terms though once you start petting her, she loves it. She isn’t yet too excited about getting picked up. Her only demand? That she can always find her sister Rain – Riley cries if she can’t locate her buddy! Together, these sisters are a joy to watch. Whether they’re chasing laser pointers, furry mice, or each other, their playful energy will keep you entertained. They even share their foster home with a gentle dog and love having a canine friend around! If you’re ready for a lifetime of affection, laughter, and adorable antics, Rain and Riley would love to join your family. They’re best suited to a loving, patient home where they can stay together and continue growing in confidence and love. Could you be the one for this precious pair? Meet them in Falls Church, VA Updated 9/21/24 First free exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital also included.
