Story
We found Emmie in a drainage ditch and took her in as a kitten. She is approximately 8 years old. We are looking for someone who does not have any other animals or children in their home as this is the most adequate living situation for her. We have 2 children under the age of two and we find she is extremely stressed with small kids. We have two dogs that she has grown up with and does well around but new dogs she doesn’t do well around. She could potentially open up to a dog in the home with time. She would do well in home with someone who is an experienced cat person.

Story
Nutmeg was offered to me by a friend needing to rehome her as soon as possible. She was born from two house cats and has spent her entire life with people. While I couldn't keep her permanently, I would be able to foster her instead of having her end up in a shelter. Nutmeg is roughly 3 months old, and she is an adorable ball of bubbly energy! If you like to play a lot with your cat while also getting to cuddle at bedtime/naps, this is the kitten for you. She has been quite nervous of my two cat-friendly dogs but hasn't acted aggressive in any way, she's very confident and curious. I think she would benefit from having a sibling as she is young and would benefit from learning manners and behaviors from another feline as well as having someone to help burn off all her rambunctious energy. She is also in no way attached to the name, so her name could be easily changed!

Story
Snuggly, Purry, Loyal Sundae is sweet as can be with a cherry on top! Her preferred way to interact with her humans is to be affectionate and cuddly. She loves to be nearby, but kindly asks that you not pick her up, even when she approaches for cuddles! Sundae is especially fond of nighttime as she can snuggle up close for bedtime. Her purrs are limitless, and constant during cuddle time! Playtime is also a favorite pastime for Sundae. While it isn’t an official schedule, she does tend to become extra active mid morning and late evening. Though you can easily tempt her at any time with her favorite catnip-stuffed mouse to bat around and bunny kick! Sundae is a gorgeous, sleek brown tabby. She has some previous scarring on her left eye that has left her blind in the eye, but she gets around just fine and it does not bother her! She has a heart murmur that is managed with medication. If you have any questions about Sundae’s conditions, we’re happy to talk with you about how easy her care is. Sundae has previously interacted with other kittens with positive outcomes! She would likely do well with a playful and snuggly feline friend in her fur-ever home. She would love an extra excuse to fill her day with cuddles, and a potential playmate to help combat those pesky toy mice! A home with humans around to shadow and snuggle is pretty much all this laid-back lady needs! Sundae will be a loving and affectionate addition to any home. Contact APA! today to learn more about her, and see if she will be the purr-fect fit for you and your family! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Sundae, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.

Story
Beautiful, Calm, Reserved See You Next Time is ready to meet you for the very first time! This gorgeous and demure dilute calico is a "look, don't touch" kind of gal at this point. And while she can be a little hesitant about people, she really shines at playtime. For example, at night she'll run around and have a blast in her tunnel. She is confident and happy when she plays! See You Next Time is looking for the perfect forever home with loving, patient humans that'll help her feel confident and happy even when she's not playing. With gentle care and time, we think she will become comfortable, settle in, and welcome pets from her beloved humans. She's had a lot of change recently, and we all know that sudden change is hard! Contact us to say hello and see her today! See You Next Time has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. See You Next Time can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Couch Potato, Easygoing, Calm If you’re looking for a new kitty to give the royal treatment, then you have to meet Princess Olga! She’s a chill girl who appreciates a quieter environment and lots of relaxation on the couch. Princess Olga might take a while to warm up to new people, but once she does, she loves being petted and will start purring as soon as you start giving her head scratches. Since her time in foster, Princess Olga has become a bit of a lap cat. She now loves snuggling in her foster’s lap for more pets! If she’s not snuggled in your lap, you’ll probably catch her loafing on the couch next to you. She’s a 10/10 loafer! Princess Olga is pretty easygoing, so she doesn’t go too hard when she’s playing, but she still has some favorite toys! She loves fluffy balls, bird and mouse toys, and chasing the laser. She could probably chase a laser all day if she wanted to! Princess Olga isn’t much of a catnip girl, but she’ll often give herself the zoomies going crazy over one of her toys. Before coming to foster, Princess Olga was staying at the APA! cattery with other kitties, so she’s fine living with other cats. She appreciates having a separate, safe space to call her own though. The perfect forever home for Princess Olga is one with patient people who will let her warm up to them on her own timeline, but once she’s comfortable with you, you’ll probably have a hard time getting her off your lap! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Princess Olga, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
