Story
Jacob is a handsome DSH brown tabby male born approximately 3/13/2021. Jacob was originally rescued by NBCR along with his mother and his 6 other siblings. He and his brother, James, were then adopted into a loving home. Sadly, through no fault of their own, they were returned to us about a year later. They have since been in a long-term foster home where they are much loved and cared for. They would still love to have a truly forever home to call their own. James and Jacob are quite bonded. He would do best adopted with his brother as they seem to find comfort having each other's presence. They both like people and attention, but they do still get scared easily. James isn't quite as brave as Jacob, so he isn't quite as comfortable out and about through the whole house. If it gets too much, he will go upstairs until things calm down. Jacob is a bit braver, so still wants to be involved and hang around. He will just sit at a distance and watch it all. If he has a calm person and place to go to when scared, he is good! They would probably do okay with kids who are calm and give them time to adjust. Jacob is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
Lucy is a lovely DSH black female born approximately 8/1/2023. She has a cute little white spot on her chest. Lucy was a very young mom who took good care of her babies. Now she is ready to find a forever family to care for her. Lucy is sweet and loves to interact with her foster family and their other kitties. She makes her family laugh with her playful antics, which is why she's called Lucy, after the great comedienne, Lucile Ball. Lucy has become very bonded with her daughter, Hazel, and they must be adopted together. Lucy is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
**This is a courtesy post** ~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Carroll - grey and white male- Carroll is a loving and very playful boy who loves his toys and wants to be in your lap all the time.  He is very treat motivated and loves to get his snacks.  He also adores his sister Tux and is bonded with her.  He is litter box trained and is ready to find his forever home.  Tux- black and white female-  Tux is shy and reserved.  She and her brother were both born outside to a ferrel colony of cats in the summer of 2022 and were rescued.  She is very food motivated and will let you let you pet her when you have treats but she takes a long time to warm up to people.  She is not aggressive but is very frightened.  She relys on her brother Carroll to help her get comfortable in new surroundings.  She loves to play and will chase after toys and loves her scratch post.  She is fully litter box trained and has done well with other cats in the home along with her brother.   --  Where did they come from: They were surrendered to a boarding facility by a good samaritan.  Adoption: ***** $300.00 for the Bonded Pair ***** Weight: they each weigh about 8 lbs. Approximate DOB: 5/10/2022 ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.--------    November 4, 2024, 11:59 am

Story
Ice Man is a handsome DSH brown tabby with white male born approximately 5/3/2020. Meet Ice Man and Maverick – A Bond Like No Other Our story began happily. We were adopted as kittens and lived joyfully in our new home for four wonderful years, always by each other’s side. But one day, out of the blue, our family decided they didn’t want us anymore. They took us to a shelter, and although the car ride was terrifying, we were at least together. The shelter was a scary place, and we spent a week wondering what we had done wrong to be left behind. Thankfully, because we had microchips, we were able to return to our rescue group, who welcomed us back with open arms and a loving foster home. But the trauma of that week made us scared and uncertain. We hid under the couch for three weeks, too afraid to trust anyone. We didn’t eat much and lost some weight. It wasn’t healthy, but we were determined to heal. Now, after overcoming these challenges, we’re ready to find a new family who will cherish us forever—together. We’re a bonded pair, and we believe we’re twice the company and twice the love. We’re still figuring out how to communicate with our foster mom, but maybe our new family will be able to understand us better. Maverick Favorite sound: The crinkle of a bag! When I hear it, I come running, but my foster mom hasn’t figured out which treats I want yet. Personality: I love to sit in laps (though I’m so big, it can be tricky!), and I enjoy playing and running around with Ice Man. Sadly, I don’t have my old toys or scratching posts, so playtime is a bit short. I’m not sure how I’d feel around dogs or kids. Fun Fact: I’m still learning how to communicate my needs, but I’m hopeful my new family will understand my signs! Ice Man Favorite sound: When I cry, I’m asking for canned food. I get a little at a time, and that’s all I need to be happy! Personality: I love snuggling on the couch and I’m a big fan of treats. I don’t have any of my old blankets, but I’ve found comfort in one on my foster mom’s couch. I’m a bit curious about other kitties, though they’re not too welcoming, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about sharing my space with other cats. I’m also unsure about dogs and kids. Fun Fact: I’m a cuddle bug who just wants to feel safe and loved. Our Promise We’ve been through a lot, but we’re strong, resilient, and ready to bring joy into your home. We may be shy at first, but with patience and love, we’ll warm up and show you the bond we share. We are never going back to a shelter, so we’re hoping that you can be the family we call our own, forever. Ice Man is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.April 28, 2025, 3:43 pm
