Story
Banana is a goofball and a ball of energy. I adopted him when he was 3 months old from the Farmers Branch Animal Shelter. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. He is not declawed, and as of the past few months has become shy when it comes to letting me trim his nails. I am moving to a much smaller unit in December. Because Banana is so high energy, I don't think it would be fair to him to keep him trapped in such a small place. I would love to see him go somewhere where he gets the attention he so desperately seeks (he is a drama queen). I am unsure of how he is with children & other cats, however I know he is not good with dogs. I would like to see him go to an experienced cat owner, due to how high energy he is. He is constantly wanting to play, make biscuits, have attention and is basically the definition of the zoomies.

Story
Meet Ninja! A charismatic seven-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair from Houston, TX, whose sleek black coat is as striking as his personality is endearing. Ninja may start off a little shy, but don’t let that fool you—he’ll soon transform into your most loyal and affectionate companion, always by your side and ready to share his heart! This talkative gentleman has a lot to say and loves engaging in heartfelt conversations with his human friends. Whether he’s sharing his thoughts on the day or simply serenading you with his soft meows, Ninja thrives on connection. He’s also an expert in the art of snuggling and cherishes affection more than anything—yes, even more than food! You’ll often find him trailing you like a little shadow, making sure you always have company. Ninja’s playful side shines when it’s time for his favorite fishing rod toy or a lively game of fetch with small toy balls. Though he’s older, Ninja still has plenty of energy to make playtime fun and engaging. He’s wonderfully tolerant and doesn’t mind being picked up or having his belly gently scratched—a rare gem in the cat world! This handsome fellow is neutered and microchipped, so he’s ready to settle right into a loving home. While he’s been the sole ruler of his domain for years, Ninja did share space with other cats and a dog as a kitten, so he might enjoy the company of other animals in the right circumstances. What Ninja truly needs, though, is a family that will give him the daily affection and attention he craves. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate, and slightly chatty feline friend, Ninja is ready to bring joy and companionship to your life! Could your home be the one where Ninja will thrive and share his boundless love? Email adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about making Ninja a part of your family! What kind of stories will you and Ninja create together?

Good with cats,
Story
Meet Griffin, one of four kittens born to a young mama named Peep, whose family decided to leave her behind when they moved. A Good Samaritan who'd been feeding the community cats in his North Dallas neighborhood noticed Peep and soon realized that she wasn't feral. He gently earned her trust and was able to coax her inside just before it started to get chilly. Not long thereafter, he discovered that Peep was pregnant, and promised her that she'd be able to have her babies in the safety and warmth of his home. And she did! Born in November 2024, Griffin and his littermates (Ash, Cornbread, and Luna) will be ready to go to their forever homes in mid-January. In the meantime, they're getting abundant affection and are being well-socialized. Litterbox-trained, too! Two of the kitties are spoken for, leaving just Griffin and his sister, Cornbread. We'd love for them to go together - they're playmates and love to snuggle together, too. When you have two kittens in the house, you won't need a TV - they'll provide you with plenty of entertainment! Griffin and Cornbread are purrfect in every way - and impossibly cute! Griffin and his sibs will be vet-checked on January 5th but appear to be healthy and happy. Do you have room in your heart for a wonderful little companion (or two)? If so, please TEXT Mary at 214-783-2060.
