While he still does not like the other cats in "his" home, he tolerates them provided they do not bother him at all. We've had a LOT of people with cats interested in him, and we will consider a home with another cat for him, but that home MUST UNDERSTAND it will take a long time for him to tolerate other cats - a minimum of 6-8 months. Toliver is a super chonky boi on a weight loss journey. He can be playful in short spurts and LOVES toys, so that will help with getting him to lose some weight. He does not like being picked up…likely due to being so overweight/it's uncomfortable for him. He loves to be scratched on his head, face and neck, as well as being brushed. He’s very good at using his litter box and scratching posts. He enjoys sitting in the sun on his windowsill. He does give love bites on occasion so he's not a good match for a home with small kids. I was once lost and starving. I knew I needed help so I found some lovely humans to take care of me. I am their foster kitty now until they can find me a Furever Home. I love to play with all my toys and climb in my tall tower, but mostly I love to have shoulder time. I will curl up in someone’s lap after I have had time to play and burn off energy. I do have special dietary needs. I was born with a condition called MegaEsophagus. I need to eat small wet meals 2 times a day, morning and night, from a special elevated dish so that I can eat at a 45 degree angle. It is best for me to be held upright for a few minutes after I eat but I haven’t needed that now that I am older. It is important that I do not eat kibble or solid food. I would love to have a playmate but you will have to be patient as we get to know each other. I would love someone who is home most of the time to give me snuggles and play with me. My foster mom has harness trained me so I can learn to be an emotional support animal. Please adopt me and I will love you more than you can possibly imagine. We’re fairly certain that Peychaud is the dad to Skye and Whiskey. They were all dumped outside where a really nice lady trapped them and had them fixed. Thankfully, we were able to help and got them inside before a cold front hit. They are all sweet, but are shy at first. Skye is the smallest and most reserved/shyest of the trio. She has adjusted really well to being indoors only. She has excellent litter box manners and uses a scratching post well. These 3 babies were definitely someone’s pets at one time, but for some unknown reason, they were dumped and left to fend for themselves. They are great with other cats and are tolerant of dogs. We do not believe they will do well in a home with small children as they prefer a quiet environment. If you’re interested in meeting them, please fill out an application on NTCR’s website. Please note, we do not adopt out-of-state and as they are a bonded trio, most apartment complexes have a 2-pet maximum.
