Kittens and cats in Center, Texas

Looking to add some feline fun to your life? We have just the kitten for you. Frodo is a grey tabby with silky soft fur, gorgeous golden eyes and the timing of a comedian. He loves to play (dog, cat, human, it doesn't matter) and can turn anything into a game. He would love another kitten his age as a playmate, but what he wants most of all is a person to share his love of life.

(on our site click "view more" under the main photo, or scroll to the bottom to see the rest.)  We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet inside one of our adoption partners locations which are Hollywood Feed, Shreveport or in PetSmart, Shreveport.  Yeti (also known as Billy Jr) - est 3yr old male, medium hair, possibly silver tabby mix. ~8lbs.  Yeti -  This fluffy beautiful boy has a sad past. He came from inside the home of the Doyline hoarder/breeder situation where 2 people were arrested. There were over 100 animals. He was the only cat in the home, another was outside. The couple were also charged for having a dead horse on the property, while collecting boarding fees from its owners. A very sad situation for all of the animals. Local rescues stepped in to help, Lama Animal rescue headed the case. Yeti ended up going with our friends at Bossier City Animal Control. When I went to do their weekly cat pictures I met Yeti and he was scared and tucked in his litter box. We knew he would thrive better in a foster home, so off he went to join our rescue. Personality: Sweet. Cuddle bug. Could expect to be cautious at first until he knows he's safe. A little shy at first but LOVES attention when he's settled. Good with other cats. Not a fan of the hyper dog in his face in his foster home. Doesn't seem to care about the dog, but doesn't like when the dog smothers him with attention. He plays some but is mainly a lounger that wants to be where the people are. Enjoys a good couch snuggle. Fur- This is a more MEDIUM HAIR cat! That does not just mean cute and fluffy. It means upkeep. It means they may can get matted or need a little sanitary fur clipping at times. Medium hair cats need extra attention to details. Adopter must be prepared for that.      Medical: Has been neutered and received his rabies and yearly vaccine. Got a booster vaccine as well. Dewormed. Had ear mites treated. On monthly flea/tick prevention. He had some missing fur on intake but it was likely due to the stress of the home he was in (with around 100 dogs!) His fur is growing back in.  When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitty will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue donations will have already paid for it.  Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. This kitty is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.    ADOPTION: $40 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a LOT more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.  Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at Hollywood Feed Shreveport or PetSmart Shreveport.  At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! Mia was given to us by a family friend four years ago as a kitten. She’s…spicy. It takes Mia some time to warm up to people, but once she does, she’s super playful. She’s independent and will accept cuddles when she wants to. Mia will make sure to tell you when she wants attention. She’s quite fun to watch when she gets the “zoomies”. She LOVES treats, so much so that she knows the sound of the jar. Unfortunately, I turned out to be allergic to cat hair, so I can no longer keep her. She would thrive in a relaxed household where she will get enough attention but enough independence as well. She needs more human companionship than she has now, but she doesn’t like too much hustle & bustle. She’s used to a calm environment and would need to be the only pet. She would do well in a household with no kids, and she would need to be strictly an indoor cat since she’s never lived outside. If you think you’re a good match for her, then please let me know.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Do you have a lonely cat? If your cat could benefit from having a friend PLEASE consider adopting Panda. She is a low maintenance girl who is what I refer to as a cats cat. She was found as a small feral kitten. I worked for several weeks to socialize her and she has also been in a foster home for a few months now. She is NOT mean but prefers affection from humans on her own terms. She can be picked up and handled when needed but she does prefer to do her own thing. She LOVES other felines both male and female. She is really a easy pet and really needs a family and a cat best friend. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines. My son rescued her when she was about six weeks old. Someone had put her over our fence. She has been with us for about three or four years. She is very loving and needs someone that would love her too. She loves to curl up next to me. My son passed a way and I am moving out of state and can’t take her with me.
