Story
Looking to add some feline fun to your life? We have just the kitten for you. Frodo is a grey tabby with silky soft fur, gorgeous golden eyes and the timing of a comedian. He loves to play (dog, cat, human, it doesn't matter) and can turn anything into a game. He would love another kitten his age as a playmate, but what he wants most of all is a person to share his love of life.

Story
Betsy was born in a barn with her two sisters and two brothers April 4, 2024. They have been with me since they were 6 weeks old. They are inside only and have never been outside (since they were rescued). Betsy is a tawny tabby and her sisters are a tawny tabby and a grey tabby. Her remaining brother, Scruff, is a beautiful tawny tabby with darker markings. Their other brother has found a home. They have been in the care of my vet, Dr. Neil Henderson, and are up to date with shots. They are spayed/neutered. Betsy loves to put her toys in the water bowl and will butt you with her head to be petted, her sister, Bree the grey tabby, loves to be held and purrs loudly when you hold her. Their brother, Scruff, and smallest sister, Bambi, have learned to love getting petted. They use their litter box. They play in their playpen. They love treats and their mouse toys that squeak. All they need is a person to love them. I will be willing to transport them to a loving home.

Story
Myrtle is a 7yo, female, short-haired, striped and white tabby cat. She is UTD on her shots, spayed, and maybe microchiped. I don't remember. She is also a little bit of a chonk. Myrtle is definitely an attention-loving cat. She will often call out for attention to find out where you are so that she can proceed to plop down beside you ans demand to be pet. Even though she is super attention-hog, oddly enough, she does NOT like to be picked up. Myrtle has a fondness for kitchen sinks and enjoys drinking froma slowly dripping tap. She has been raised around other cats, small dogs, and big dogs. Myrtle has often wended her way through a forest of dog legs to demand attention. She also likes to tease the dogs. Myrtle has always been a house cat and would make a very affectionate addition to any home. I am asking a rehoming fee of $200, but am willing to negotiate.

Story
Hamlet is a 6yo, male, orange and white cat. He is UTD on his shots, neutered, and maybe microchiped. I don't remember. He is a little bit of a chonk. Hamlet definitely loves attention and scratches. He has even been known to drool a time or two. Hamlet likes to give "love nibbles" that can turn into a love bite if you're not paying attention. He has been raised around other cats, small dogs, and big dogs. Hamlet has occasionally braved the company of canines to get attention. He has always been a house cat and would make a very affectionate addition to any home.

Be sure to read my FULL BIO all the way down to my vetting and how to apply. Not all sites will show the full bio, so if needed please go to www.rockersrescue.org and click on adoptable pets to be sure you are reading all details. The animals have multiple pictures to view. (on our site click "view more" under the main photo, or scroll to the bottom to see the rest.)  We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet inside one of our adoption partners locations which are Hollywood Feed, Shreveport or in PetSmart, Shreveport.    Valka- female Birthday est May 20, 2024. Has the appearance of both a Seal Point Siamese and Flame Point Siamese. Her face has the yellowing of a flame point. Blue eyes. Had a scab by her nose peel off recently, so the fur is growing back there. You may notice the spot in her recent photos. She says she's still beautiful even with a blemish.  History: Valka was found in a parking lot all alone under a car. She was brought to Bossier City Animal Control for stray hold. We go there weekly to do photos to network of the cats. Valka was not feeling well and we took her under our rescue and to the vet. She was treated for dehydration and constipation upon intake.  Valka- Talk about a beauty! Valka is a stunning girl that needs a home that will allow her to adapt at a comfy pace.  This beautiful girl will take a bit to warm up to a new environment. Will defend herself if scared with those cute little murder mittens. She can be a little rough with the claws when playing too, so we will say no young kids just to be safe. Likes curling up with the other kitties but she prefers to be on a human, especially at bed time. She is known for snuggling right up by your face sometimes!  Mostly independent and enjoys lounging and doing her own thing, but will come to you for cuddles, especially at bed time. May follow you around a good bit. Likes toys.  Uses litterbox. Valka has decided that she is a warrior princess and needs her castle to bring her beauty and rule.     Medical: Kitten has had 3 rounds of vaccinations/booster vaccines and rabies vaccine. (Vets give at least 3 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.) Spayed.  Dewormed. On monthly flea/tick prevention. Treated for dehydration/constipation on intake. Had a scab on her nose peel off recently so the fur is coming back there. When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue donations will have already paid for it.   Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.    ADOPTION: $40 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a LOT more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.  Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!    HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. She was taken to Bossier City Animal Control. We go there weekly to do photos and network their kitties. We instantly fell in love with her and noticed her injured rear leg. She was soooo sweet despite being hurt. We took her under our rescue and to our vet. Our vet did xrays and determined that there was a break near the ankle area and across the toes. They said that the break was healing and it was better for us to monitor and let it continue healing than to amputate. Over our time monitoring it, she runs and jumps and doesn't tend to favor it much as it has been healing. In the beginning she was rather gentle with it and lifted it a good bit, but as of lately that has subsided from how it was. Leg does look a bit deformed.  Astrid has always been a very friendly and curious girl. She enjoys hanging out with other kitties and is also around a dog (she tolerates that one because its pushy, haha) . Uses litterbox. Likes curling up with the other kitties or on humans lap/chest. Has been around an 11yr old child.  She can be independent at times and also needy/ wanting your attention and snuggles at other times. Likes toys.  Let you know when its food time, the princess enjoys her meals.   Medical: Kitten has had 3 rounds of vaccinations/booster vaccines and rabies vaccine. (Vets give at least 3 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.) Spayed.  Dewormed. On monthly flea/tick prevention. Treated for ringworm in past. Has had xray of leg and vet examination determined the break was healing and it was better to let it continue healing than to amputate. When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees.
