Story
Meet Indy! A bashful but beautiful approximately eight-year-old Domestic Short Hair from Norman, OK, whose tortoiseshell coat is as enchanting as her quietly curious soul. Indy’s journey started with a street-smart spirit—her clipped ear hints at her early days—but today, she’s a soft-hearted observer of the world from the comfort of a cozy windowsill. This petite eight-pound lady is the queen of birdwatching and squirrel surveillance, often seen chattering away with a mix of feline excitement and sass! She’s a big fan of the slow approach—give her a week or two, and you’ll find a sweet, affectionate side that reveals itself on her terms. And when she wants pets? Oh, she’ll let you know exactly when the scratchy service is required! Indy thrives on routine: dry food served all day with a delightful wet food dinner in the evening is her kind of fine dining. She's microchipped, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations—ready to step into a new loving home with all the grace of a seasoned housecat. She’s especially friendly with fellow felines and has a surprising fondness for dogs, too. In fact, once she’s comfortable, she can be quite the playful little whirlwind, chasing her tail or playfully darting around with her furry companions. Whether she’s perched in a sunny window, chirping at birds or soaking up a quiet evening in your company, Indy brings a sense of peace and simple joy to every space she graces. Her new family should be patient, kind, and ready to offer her the time she needs to feel secure. Once she settles in, you'll be rewarded with her soft meows, warm presence, and a daily show from the best seat in the house—right at the window! Story
Banana is a goofball and a ball of energy. I adopted him when he was 3 months old from the Farmers Branch Animal Shelter. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. He is not declawed, and as of the past few months has become shy when it comes to letting me trim his nails. I am moving to a much smaller unit in December. Because Banana is so high energy, I don't think it would be fair to him to keep him trapped in such a small place. I would love to see him go somewhere where he gets the attention he so desperately seeks (he is a drama queen). I am unsure of how he is with children & other cats, however I know he is not good with dogs. I would like to see him go to an experienced cat owner, due to how high energy he is. He is constantly wanting to play, make biscuits, have attention and is basically the definition of the zoomies.

Story
Meet Georgie! A distinguished five-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Long Hair from McKinney, TX, whose luxurious gray and white coat is as soft as a cloud and just as mesmerizing. This handsome gentleman is the perfect mix of independent and affectionate—he enjoys his space but also has a special fondness for early morning petting sessions, making him the ideal companion for someone who appreciates a cat with a routine. Georgie is a connoisseur of interactive play, and his absolute favorite pastime is chasing long wand toys with the grace of a feline athlete! When he’s not showing off his impressive jumping skills on his cat tree, he can be found perched by a window, deeply engrossed in his daily “conversations” with the neighborhood squirrels. His adorable chattering is a sure sign that he's always keeping a close eye on the world outside, ready to provide commentary on every little movement. This charming fellow is also quite the conversationalist, known for his vocal nature and ability to let you know exactly what he’s thinking. Whether he’s reminding you that it’s time for play, asking for head scratches, or simply expressing his opinion about the day’s events, Georgie’s chatty personality makes him an engaging and delightful companion! Since Georgie is front-declawed, he relies on his voice and body language to communicate when he’s had enough attention. He enjoys affection on his terms—head and back scratches are welcome, but he doesn’t like being picked up. He can become overstimulated and may bite if his limits aren’t respected, so a patient, cat-savvy caregiver who understands feline cues will help him feel safe and secure. Georgie is particular about his bathroom habits and requires multiple clean litter boxes. If they aren’t up to his standards, he’ll leave a “gentle reminder” just outside the box. With the recent addition of a baby to the household, he has also started territorial marking near the baby’s belongings. However, these behaviors are likely due to stress and should improve once he settles into a calm, consistent environment. Georgie is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He does require sedation for full vet examinations, so his future caregiver should be prepared for that when scheduling check-ups. With the right home, Georgie will be a devoted and entertaining companion, always ready for a game, a cuddle, or a chat! Are you ready to welcome this regal, squirrel-watching, wand-chasing gentleman into your life? Contact adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about Georgie!

Story
Meet Ninja! A seven-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair from The Colony, TX, whose sleek black coat hides a heart full of love, opinions, and the most delightful vocal commentary you've ever heard. At a sturdy 17 pounds, Ninja is a gentle giant who knows exactly what he wants—whether it's a snack, a snuggle, or a prime window seat to keep tabs on the neighborhood birds. He’s got a playful streak that shows up when the wand toys come out or the scent of catnip fills the room, but he’s just as happy lounging like royalty and soaking up your affection. In fact, don’t be surprised if you wake up with him curled up beside you or even stretched out across your back, purring like a motor—his idea of a love letter! One of Ninja’s most endearing traits is his constant communication. This guy doesn’t meow—he converses. Whether he’s hungry, stuck in a room, or simply has a few things on his mind, Ninja will let you know in no uncertain terms. His expressive personality makes every day a little more lively and a lot more heartwarming. Ninja is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. He’s healthy overall, though he has a tendency to eat a bit too quickly (which sometimes results in a little mess), so slow feeder bowls or meal pacing may help. He’s not one for feline roommates and should be the only cat in his new loving home, where he can reign as the king he truly is! His ideal family will be showering him with love, patience, and plenty of conversation. He needs a caring environment where his affectionate nature is cherished. Are you ready to welcome a big-hearted, talkative snugglebug into your life—and your lap? Ninja is waiting to tell you all about his day! Email adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about making Ninja a part of your family!

Meet Onyx! A charming almost fifteen-year-old grey and brown tabby Domestic Short Hair from Norman, OK, whose wise eyes and vocal personality make him a truly one-of-a-kind companion. Wrapped in a soft coat with striking white accents, Onyx is a gentle, medium-sized gentleman weighing in at 12 pounds. While his days of leaping onto counters are behind him, he still enjoys a bit of play—especially if a string toy is involved! Just don’t expect an all-out zoomie session; Onyx is a low-key kind of guy who prefers the cozy comforts of life. He’s a master communicator, known for his distinctive meows that tell you when he’s hungry, wants to go outside for a supervised stroll, or simply craves a little attention. He speaks fluent "cat," and he's not shy about sharing his thoughts! His favorite pastime? Curling up on your stomach, purring softly as you give him those head scratches he loves. It’s these peaceful, bonding moments that reveal Onyx's affectionate side. And although he may be slow to warm up to strangers, he’s incredibly loyal and loving once he knows you’re his person. Onyx enjoys a simple dining routine: dry food available throughout the day and a delicious wet food dinner in the evening—he’ll absolutely remind you when it’s time. He’s vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, making him a laid-back addition to a calm, caring home. He does well with dogs and tolerates feline friends, but he might prefer a home without small children. What makes Onyx so endearing is his old-soul spirit mixed with that unmistakable cattitude. He’s not a high-maintenance cat—he just needs a peaceful space, a kind heart, and someone who will listen when he speaks. Are you ready to welcome this wise, chatty companion into your life and let his purrs be the soundtrack to your quiet evenings? To learn more about adopting Onyx, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!
