Story
This beefy boy is Colossus! He's got a personality as large as his body! 19 pounds! Colossus is around 4 years old and gets along with most everyone! He can get a bit overstimulated during play so we'd recommend older children or cat savvy kids. He is FIV+. He gets along with other cats, dependent on their personality. Because of his FIV+ status, he should be in a home where he's not fighting/biting other cats or the only cat in the household or in a household with other FIV+ cats. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Story
Meet Marriott, the striking black-and-white domestic shorthair with a purrfect mustache that adds an air of distinction to her farmyard presence. While she may be a farm cat through and through, don’t let that fool you—Marriott is anything but distant. She takes her time warming up to new people, always observing from a safe distance before deciding you’re worthy of her attention. Once she’s comfortable, though, you’ll find that Marriott has a soft side. She’ll allow you to give her pets, but only after you’ve earned her trust—she’s not one to rush into anything. Marriott is fiercely independent and prefers to oversee the farm from a quiet spot, keeping watch over the animals and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her purrfect mustache and elegant demeanor make her a real character on the farm, and her presence is always felt, even if she's not right in the thick of things. If you're patient and respectful, Marriott will make a wonderful companion, rewarding you with her gentle affection in her own time. She’s the kind of cat who prefers to do her job with precision and calm, and once she knows you, she’ll let you in on her little moments of joy—like a soft purr and a few well-earned head scratches. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
