Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 5/14/2024 Reason for being in rescue: Stray but was chipped. The chip was traced back to the local humane society. They had placed Lorelei as a kitten but the chip was never registered by the new owners. That owner declined to reply back to the humane society calls so the HS asked us to take over her care Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted although she definitely wants more than one lap Weight: 6.19 lbs and a tiny bit underweight but we are working on that Height: 7 in estimated only at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $99 Fence needed? No, Lorelei is an indoor only cat. What kind of home would be best for me? Lorelei is a Tortoiseshell beauty looking for a home where she can be the center of attention and your entire world. She was found as a stray and brought to the farm where she is adapting quite well. This little girl will adapt to both apartment and house living, provided she's kept indoors. Lorelei would do best as an only pet because she does not get along well with other cats and dogs. The simple reason for this is that Lorelei simply does not want to share her beloved human with anyone else. She does not fight other animals. She is a lover. But she has no use for them. The thing she love the most, well aside from food, is curling up in your lap and basking in your love and affection. What is my personality like? Lorelei is loving and affectionate, a true lap cat. The caveat with her is she demands to have all your attention and love so she would do best as an only pet. She is afraid of the other cats here and runs from the dogs. She hides from both. When you meet Lorelei you might think the old Styx song was written about her because she's "as gentle as a butterfly, she moves without a sound." That's not to say Lorelei doesn't make her feelings known. She will meow at you for pets, and food, as well as approaching you seemingly meowing a story or providing a recap of her day to you. If you are looking for a feline companion that will always be there, well you'll never be alone with Lorelei because "she brightens every lonely night, no one's quite the same," When you meet her Lorelei's enchanting ways will melt your heart and you will echo Styx when they sing, "Lorelei lets live together." This little lovable beauty is the purrfect match for any cat lover. How do I act when I first meet new people? Lorelei will meow a hello and quickly brush up against your legs, or if you are sitting on the floor or in a chair, she will hop into your lap and soak up all the love you can provide her. Other tips and tidbits: We estimate Lorelei's birth date to be on or about 5/14/2021. House trained? Lorelei makes use of her litterbox. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. November 5, 2024, 5:31 pm
