Story
✨🐾 Sweet Senior Looking for Her Forever Home! 🐾✨ 📍 Location: Lexington, SC 💖 Name: Freya 🎂 Age: ~14.5 years (DOB: ~1/1/11) 🐱 Breed: DSH – Patched Brown Tabby 👩‍🦰 M/F: Female 🩺 Spayed/Neutered/Shots: Spayed ✅ Vaccines updated 8/29 or 9/5 ✅ UTD on flea prevention 🐾 Good with dogs, cats, kids? Yes! Freya has been fine with all of the above. She doesn’t love other animals in her personal space, but she’s learned to tolerate even the overly affectionate ones around her. ⚠️ Aggression/Medical Issues: None! 🚽 House/crate trained?: Litter trained! 🌟 About Freya (personality & story): Freya is an absolute lovebug 💕 She enjoys treats, pets, and even chatting with you (yes, she’s quite the talker 🗣️🐾). While she isn’t a fan of being held, she loves coming up on her own to spend time with you. Her story is heartbreaking but inspiring: she was rescued from a hoarder house 2 years ago, where she had been kept in a cage for a decade 💔 With the help of a patient foster, she blossomed into a confident, social butterfly 🦋—often the very first to greet strangers for attention. Despite her “senior” age, Freya acts nothing like it! Everyone who meets her is shocked when they hear she’s 14. She could easily be one of those magical kitties who lives happily into her 20s. ✨ 📩 Interested? Message or comment! Please include her name (“Freya”) so we know which rescue you’re inquiring about. 📝 Adoption application & contract required to ensure she goes to a loving home. 💜 Freya has already been through so much… let’s make sure her golden years are truly golden. 🐾👑

🌼 **Meet Dorothy – The Sweetest Velcro Kitty (With Boundaries 💅)** 🌼 Location: Lexington, SC Name: Dorothy Age: ~9 years Breed: DSH - Calico (lots of white) - very large built lady (~11 lbs) M/F: Female Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & FVRCP; spayed; UTD on flea & heartworm prevention; microchipped Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: AMAZING with all humans 💛 Other animals… not her thing (see below) Aggression or medical issues?: None medically; behavior explained below Reason for rehoming?: Found as a stray — no owner could be located Would you like rescue help?: No - already with one House/crate trained?: Litter trained ✨ **Additional info/story (personality):** Dorothy is truly one of the **sweetest, most loving cats** you’ll ever meet 🥹 She greets you when you walk in, LOVES to cuddle, and can be held for hours without a single complaint. Total velcro kitty with her people 💕 🧠 **Let’s talk about her “only quirk” (in a real, honest way):** Dorothy is **very sensitive about her space when it comes to other animals**. * With humans: absolute angel * With animals: she gets **overwhelmed and scared easily** In her previous home, other animals repeatedly got into her space despite her trying to avoid them. Over time, she escalated from hiding → to hissing/growling → to swatting/chasing them away. 👉 This was **not random aggression** — it was her feeling like she had no safe space and setting boundaries the only way she knew how. 💡 **What she actually needs:** * A home where she can feel **safe and respected** * Ideally an **only-pet home**, OR * A home with **very calm, respectful animals** that will truly leave her alone She is **not a bully or an unpredictable cat** — she just doesn’t tolerate her boundaries being ignored. When her space is respected, she is calm, loving, and completely drama-free. — 💌 Message/comment if interested! **Please include the animal’s name when reaching out** (we have a lot of rescues right now!) Adoption application & contract required to ensure a great home 🐾💛

🤍 **Meet Tyga – The “Not-So-Feral” Lovebug** 🤍 Location: Lexington, SC Name: Tyga Age: ~4 years Breed: Domestic Medium Hair - Cream & White M/F: Male Spayed/Neutered/Shots: Neutered; UTD on FVRCP & Rabies; FeLV/FIV negative; dewormed & UTD on flea & heartworm prevention; microchipped Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: Good with everything we’ve introduced him to so far, but prefers his personal space (not looking to be besties with other animals — will growl/hiss if they get too close, but does NOT attack) Aggression or medical issues?: See above regarding space preferences; previously had a significant wound behind his ear from mites (now healed, just waiting on fur to grow back). His eyes tend to run — not infection-related (has not responded to meds), likely mild environmental allergies or feline herpes (see below 💛) Reason for rehoming?: Originally trapped as a “feral” from a TNR colony, but after some time we realized… he is absolutely NOT feral 🥹 ✨ **Additional info/story (personality):** Tyga has that classic “grumpy face” look — but don’t be fooled… he is a TOTAL softie 😭 He is **super talkative**, very affectionate, and will straight up **ask you for attention**. He LOVES being held and will happily stay in your arms getting pets for as long as you’re willing. Think: **clingy in the cutest way + a little spicy about his personal bubble with other animals** 😂 💡 **About the “feline herpes” note (don’t panic!):** This sounds scary, but it really isn’t. The majority of cats are exposed to this virus at some point in their lives — most just never show symptoms. In Tyga’s case, it likely just shows up as occasional watery eyes. * It is **NOT dangerous** in otherwise healthy cats * It does **NOT affect lifespan** * It’s very comparable to a mild, occasional cold or allergies * Most multi-cat homes already have cats carrying it without even knowing Stress can cause mild flare-ups (like watery eyes or sneezing), but it’s typically very manageable and often barely noticeable. 💌 Message/comment if interested! **Please include the animal’s name when reaching out** (we’ve got a lot of rescues right now!) Adoption application & contract required to ensure a great home 🐾💛

Story
Ginger was found by a dumpster as a kitten, she has had one owner. Her nickname is baby kitty because she was always petite for her age. She is sweet with kids, likes to sleep in the bed. She uses our doggy door to go in and outside. She requires no litter box, she will let you know when she wants to go outside. She is spayed. Loves laying outside in the sun! We are moving and can't take her with us.
