Ideal Home: A patient, quiet home with a friendly feline!
Qualities: Calm, Reserved, Shy, Mellow, Gentle
Doogie Howser, MD is ready to find his forever home! This distinguished, four-pawed "purr-fessional" specializes in healing broken hearts with just a sway of his tail. Doogie thrives in the company of other cats, and a friendly feline companion to groom, play, and cuddle with is just what the doctor ordered.
At just 2 years old, Doogie arrived at Ten Lives a bit shy, but his gentle and reserved nature has blossomed. He now enjoys flopping belly up next to his people for head scratches and, when he's in the mood, maybe even a belly rub. Mealtime brings out his affectionate side—Doogie will come over purring and nuzzling, happily accepting pets. On occasion, he might even let you pick him up without complaint when his "pick me up" meter is full.
While it may take him a few days to warm up, with patience and love, he'll soon be exploring his surroundings and ensuring everything is in tip-top shape.

About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
