Story
Snowdrop's adoption fee is sponsored for an approved adopter! She is also available for our Foster-to-Adopt program. Read more about this program below.Meet Snowdrop, the charming 7-year-old kitty with a heart as pure as her snowy white (and black!) fur. Snowdrop is seeking an adoptive home where she can share her boundless love and affection. Snowdrop's temperament is as sweet as can be. She adores snuggling up with her favorite blankies, indulging in delicious meals, and basking in grooming sessions Despite her special needs, including bladder and bowel expressions 2-3 times a day, Snowdrop's gentle nature and loving personality shine through. She thrives on routine care, including full or half baths with assistance using the litter box, and her area fur trim helps her stay clean and comfortable. Remarkably calm during face washes and nail trims, Snowdrop's purrs of contentment will melt your heart. Additionally, Snowdrop is on a prescription diet and medication for seizures three times a day.Snowdrop currently lives with other cats and does well, but she would also be perfectly content as the sole feline companion in your home. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loving companion, Snowdrop is eagerly waiting to become your forever snuggle buddy.___________________________Ten Lives’ Foster-to-Adopt program gives potential adopters the opportunity to interact and bond with a cat in a home setting prior to making a lifelong commitment. This program is a great way to see a cat’s true personality and watch how they integrate into your household. Please note, only cats listed as foster-to-adopt are eligible for this program. How does it work?Foster-to-Adopt applicants are approved through our normal adoption process and based on the specific needs of the cat. Once approved, you will bring home your new friend and have 30 days to determine whether they are a perfect fit for you and your family. During the 30-day foster-to-adopt period, you will be responsible for providing food and litter; however, Ten Lives will provide outstanding veterinary care at a partner veterinarian. Please note: Ten Lives will not cover care provided by a non-partner veterinarian. Please take this into consideration when submitting a foster-to-adopt application. At the end of the 30 days, you can make the adoption official by signing an adoption agreement and paying the adoption fee or you can return the cat to the care of Ten Lives. If you wish to continue fostering until adoption, Ten Lives will list the cat for adoption on their website and social media pages! Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in fostering-to-adopt from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/foster-to-adopt/___________________________ABOUT TEN LIVES:Ten Lives is a foster-based program and does NOT have a brick and mortar facility with regular visiting hours. We are a 100% volunteer-powered organization and require an approved adoption application prior to scheduling meet and greets with animals. This is out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, as well as helping to ensure our animals are matched to the homes that best meet their needs. We require that all applicants have a satisfactory veterinary reference and provide proof of homeownership OR landlords approval. We will contact all applicants who meet our minimum requirements within 96 business hours of receiving your application. During kitten season wait times may be longer. We ask for your patience as we are all volunteers! All Ten Lives cats are spayed/neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Ideal Home: A patient, quiet home with a friendly feline! Qualities: Calm, Reserved, Shy, Mellow, Gentle Doogie Howser, MD is ready to find his forever home! This distinguished, four-pawed "purr-fessional" specializes in healing broken hearts with just a sway of his tail. Doogie thrives in the company of other cats, and a friendly feline companion to groom, play, and cuddle with is just what the doctor ordered. At just 2 years old, Doogie arrived at Ten Lives a bit shy, but his gentle and reserved nature has blossomed. He now enjoys flopping belly up next to his people for head scratches and, when he's in the mood, maybe even a belly rub. Mealtime brings out his affectionate side—Doogie will come over purring and nuzzling, happily accepting pets. On occasion, he might even let you pick him up without complaint when his "pick me up" meter is full. While it may take him a few days to warm up, with patience and love, he'll soon be exploring his surroundings and ensuring everything is in tip-top shape. ___________________________ Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Ideal Home: An adopter with experience, or willing to learn, how to help him live his best life! He would also benefit from at least one other cat in the home. Qualities: Affectionate, Curious, Playful, Resilient 2-year-old Francis is a playful and sweet feline who loves receiving attention and hanging out in his pink cat bed. He is a lovable fella who is currently fostering with other cats and doing great. We think he would be a great addition to your current feline family! Francis enjoys chatting with his foster family and is an excellent listener. Francis joined Ten Lives after his guardian could no longer care for him. He was born with a congenital hind leg deformity that gives him a unique walk but doesn't impede his desire to play and zoom around the house. He is really fast!  Due to this deformity, Francis needs special care, including wearing reusable diapers and maintaining hygiene. His foster family has developed a great routine, and they are happy to share it with his adopter! Francis is looking for a special adopter or foster-to-adopter who can give him the support he needs to thrive. Ten Lives is dedicated to Francis' success and will provide post-adoption support to ensure he continues to thrive!  ___________________________ Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Story
Ideal Home: Quiet, patient and loving as she learns more about the pampered indoor life!Qualities: Gentle, Shy, Mellow. Graysie is a sophisticated 7.5 old gentle girl who has been appreciating the pampered indoor life since she arrived at Ten Lives. You see, Graysie's story is one that we commonly see; she spent her whole life outside and never knew the love and affectionate of being a beloved house cat. She has shown positive progress around her comfort human and has recently been allowing pets and brushing during her feedings. Her hobbies include bird watching and lounging in the sun beams to catch a good snooze. Graysie is gentle in nature and will need a patient adopter who can work with her slowly over time.  She gets along with other laid back and relaxed felines, and we think another easy going cat friend would help her flourish and also keep her company, but its not a deal breaker if she's a solo kitty either. If you think you could be Graysie's forever person, she hopes you will fill out an application for her today!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Story
Meet Wayne, the dashing and determined cat whose journey has left us both heartbroken and inspired. This handsome boy was heartlessly kicked outside by his former owner, who callously asked us to "humanely discard" him. Wayne was terrified and withdrawn when he came into our care, but with time, patience, and love, he’s slowly opened up and begun to trust people again.Wayne’s story is one of resilience, but his newfound confidence has come with an undeniable craving for the outdoors. He’s a master escape artist: a door-dashing, screen-scratching, little Houdini who stops at nothing to feel the wind in his fur. We’ve tried everything to safely curb his outdoor desires—offering catio access, harness training, and even taking him out in a stroller. Yet, Wayne continues to yearn for the freedom he remembers. For Wayne’s well-being and happiness, we’re making an exception to our usual practice of finding strictly indoor homes. We are now looking for a loving and responsible owner who understands the challenges and risks of caring for an indoor/outdoor cat and will do everything possible to keep him safe. We hope to find someone who lives in a quieter area, keeps up with annual vet visits, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and Feline Leukemia), is consistent with flea prevention, and who will commit to loving Wayne unconditionally. This is not a decision we make lightly, but we believe that Wayne deserves the best shot at a happy and fulfilled life. If you can offer Wayne the safe, structured, and caring home he needs, please reach out to learn more about this brave and spirited boy.If you think you could be Wayne's match, he hopes you will fill out an application today!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives!
