Story
Kayla is 11 years old and had been with my friends mom since she was a kitten. I happened to be there when she was born and placed her and all her siblings/cousins with homes. So I volunteered to foster and help find a home once her mom became too sick to care for her. I hoped to be able to keep here because my 2 cats are actually her cousins. But after a couple of months, they have not gotten used to each other. I live in a 5th wheel and don’t have a lot of room to start with and at the moment, I have to keep them separated. Kayla is a little less stressed but my cats are starting to be upset having to be kept to one side of the trailer. She needs to be an only cat. She tolerates dogs after getting used to them. She is very sweet and lovey. She likes to come lie on you, get forehead kisses and plays fetch with emery boards lol. She does tend towards love bites and does get a little carried away sometimes. We have been working on it and she is getting better at not doing that.

Story
Meet Thor born November 2022. This handsome guy is named Thor, because he is like lightning! Thor is shy at first, so he will need a patient person. Someone who understands how scary it is to be in a new home. We think he would be fine with other pets with a proper (slow) acclimation. We always suggest that kitties are given an acclimation space when they are adopted where they can decompress. Thor loves to play. He has mastered the art of chasing the red dot and loves cat wands. Thor has soft velvet like fur. Thor is being fostered in Silverton. $100 adoption fee per adult cat. Hardest part of rescue is: - Not being able to save every cat. - Finding excellent homes for our rescues. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information. We do not have a shelter. All our rescues are in foster homes. The $100 adoption fee per cat ensures that all cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, vaccinated for FVRCP (feline distemper), dewormed, and have been treated for fleas. Tested negative for Fiv/Felv.

Story
Date of Birth 04/24 Here's a little Angel waiting to join your family. She is playful and sweet. Does fine with other cats and dogs. We do always recommend a proper introduction for new pets. The rest of Angels' litter were all tabbies. Angel would like to be adopted with her sister Jacobia. Of the litter they are the most bonded. They cuddle and play together. Most of our kitties are placed in bonded pairs.  One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier.
