Story
Sweet RosieJust like her name, Rosie is as sweet as a rose! This affectionate beauty was found caring for her kittens and brought into a loving foster home where she could raise them safely. Now that her babies are grown, Rosie is fully vetted—spayed, tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy—and ready to begin a life of her own.Rosie loves being close to her person. She gently rubs against her foster’s legs for attention, happily soaks up chin and cheek scratches, and follows her foster around the house like a little shadow. At bedtime, she curls up on the bed for cozy snuggles. She’s also playful and energetic—she’ll chase her favorite string toy endlessly and zoom after tossed balls and toy mice with delight.Rosie would thrive as an only cat, but she’s shown curiosity toward other felines and will likely do well with a friendly male kitty after a slow, thoughtful introduction. She’s not expected to be a good fit with dogs, as she has no known experience with them.A wonderful blend of affection and fun, Rosie will make a loving, devoted companion for the lucky person who brings her home.To learn more or inquire about adopting Rosie, please email Patricia at dpcadams@comcast.net.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Stupendus – a bold, beautiful survivor with a heart full of love Stupendus is a stunning tuxedo girl who doesn’t let her past define her. Rescued from a severe hoarding situation where she and several other cats were living in heartbreaking conditions, she has come through it all with her sweetness completely intact — and shining bright.Stupendus has bonded deeply with the other cats in the home she came from and must go to a home with a friendly feline companion. She may also be adopted as a pair with one of her siblings. She’s also a big fan of cuddling and would love a home where she can snuggle up with her humans. In addition, she truly enjoys the company of other cats and loves to play, making her a wonderful companion for a home with feline friends.Stupendus does have a damaged eye, likely from an old injury when she was very young. Our veterinarian believes removal is the best option to keep her comfortable, and we’ll be taking care of that for her. Cats adapt amazingly well to life with one eye, and it certainly won’t slow her down — if anything, it just adds to her unique charm. Due to her surgery, addition adoption requirements will apply. She will need a calm and quiet home, within a certain distance of her ophthalmologist in Beaverton.Resilient, affectionate, playful, and full of personality, Stupendus is ready to leave her difficult beginnings behind and step into the loving forever home she deserves. If you’re looking for a cuddly, social sweetheart who will fill your home with purrs, Stupendus is waiting to meet you.
