Story
Poppy is a gentle and quiet 4-year-old gray tabby with a luxurious soft coat, looking for a new favourite person. She is very shy until she gets to know you, then she will snuggle with you in bed and purr as long as you will let her. She is affectionate and will bond with a single person. She seems to prefer women as they easily approach without spooking her. She is curious and is always looking in corners and dark places for mice (she caught one the other day). She is generally quiet, with occasional bouts of the zoomies. She attacks her scratching post and leaves the furniture alone. Poppy came to us as a rescue from a shelter. There likely was trauma in her past and she needs a quiet home with understanding and nurturing humans, without kids, dogs or other cats. She still startles easily and is terrified of children (something in her past?). Give her a safe and loving environment and she will return the affection and warmth. Fee C$100 donation to the Uxbridge-Scugog shelter.

Story
Bella is a quiet 4-year-old with a lustrous soft black coat and a little white medallion who's looking for a new favourite person. She is very shy until she gets to know you, then she will snuggle or just hang out with you on the couch. She enjoys getting scritched behind the ears and under the chin, and long strokes all down her back. Bella is a bit aloof but eventually will bond with a single person. She can have an attitude but mostly it’s a signal to leave her alone and give her some space. She is affectionate but on her own terms. She attacks her scratching post and will leave furniture alone. Story
"Welcome to 2025!! I would love to reintroduce myself, I am Burger. My birthday is coming up on April 4th, and I will be 9 years young. I have been the best boy in my foster home. However, I would love a forever home and especially my very own human. When I was returned to KLAWS in 2018, I had been left alone a lot and did not enjoy that one bit. I would love to have my own human to call my own, snuggle with, and give me all of their attention. I get lots of love from my foster mom, but my very own human would be the best thing in the whole world. I love to play with all of the toys my foster brings me as if I am a kitten." For Burger to be the best boy he can be he will require a home with no other pets and someone who can shower him with the love and attention he deserves. He is looking for someone who will help him with his transition and stick with him as he settles into his new home. Burger eats a special urinary diet and is currently on chlomicalm, which is an anxiety medication, which should be continued in his forever home. Please send an email to 4klaws@gmail.com if you have any questions or are ready to welcome Burger into your furever family. Adoption Fee: $200 (includes deworm, deflea, vaccinations, microchip, neuter) To help us find Burger a purrfect family, please care and share 🙏🏻🐾❤️ 🐾If you are able to foster for KLAWS, please email 4klaws@gmail.com to request an application. Story
"Well hello there, I am Valerie but my friend sometimes call me Val. I have been with KLAWS since November 2021 and boy have I blossomed since arriving. I have an estimated date of birth of June 19, 2017. My foster home has helped me become the best kitty ever, however I would love ❤️ to find my forever home. I have both cat and dog friends so I could get along with either, as long as we have proper introductions. I love to sleep near my people and have one of the loudest purrs so I can catch your attention. I love to be social and eat my meals with everyone else in the kitchen. I do also know the sound of the treat jar but my foster is cheap and will only give me a couple. She says I need to watch my figure." Valerie will need to remain on her current Hills Prescription Diet C/D Multicare Stress, both wet and dry, as she has previously had sporadic bouts of hematuria due to stress. Since Valerie has left the shelter and entered our care she has not had any occurrences at all in her foster home. We have added in a variety of wet foods to give her more options. She will require measured, timed feedings as she is currently the perfect weight and size. Valerie would enjoy the company of a similar personality friend with slow and proper introductions. Her forever home and family should be a calmer and quiet environment. Our pets need their own safe space for the first little while to help them become familiar with their new surroundings (environment, smells, sounds, people, pets, etc) to be successful and comfortable in their forever home. Please send an email to 4klaws@gmail.com if you have any questions or are ready to welcome Valerie into your furever family. Adoption Fee: $200 (includes deworm, deflea, vaccinations, microchip, spay) To help us find Valerie a purrfect family, please care and share #4klaws #4klawskitties #4klawsfosters #adoptdontshop #spayneuter #rescuesareworthit *All KLAWS kitties are required, by signed contract, to be indoor only and not declawed. "Carter here, on the prowl to find my forever home. I came to KLAWS in July 2023 with an estimated date of birth of April 7, 2023. Cat scratchers, furry mice & and springs, only name a few of my favourite toys. My furry foster friends and I enjoy running & playing most of the day. I also look forward to my human foster snuggles as well. Getting some love and attention throughout the day can make a guy feel loved. I would love the company of a furry friend in my forever home especially when the humans are away."
