Story
Purchased as a kitten from Humane Society 5 years ago. She is a curious little girl raised in an adult home. She is very inquisitive liking to know what you are doing....if you are looking in a drawer she is beside you looking too.....if you are fixing something she is beside you watching and helping. She reaches out to you when you are near, she is a sweet little girl that enjoys sleeping with you. Unfortunately my other 5 year old female cat and her were spooked by something outside, since then our other cat does not got along with Kallie even though Kallie is fine with her and we have to keep them separated. She is an indoor cat with excellent litter box manners. She does need portioned meals as will overeat if free fed. She does get along with son's 100 pound Labrador dog but unsure if she would be okay with constant exposure.

Story
We must give up Poppy and Bella, a pair of 4 year old females because we will be taking over a pair who's caregiver is unable to continue. Four is too many. They are to be adopted as a pair. Their new home should be with a couple without children, not too noisy, with each partner becoming their respective favourite human. They came to us in October from the Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter (Port Perry, ON). Animal Services took them forcibly from "a hoarder situation". They are fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. They are very skittish and will scamper at unexpected loud noises or someone moving too fast. There is no doubt that they were traumatized previously. At first, they hid for almost three weeks. They are coming along now and feel secure when they snuggle with their chosen human. They are turning out to be playful and curious. Poppy is quiet and shy, enjoys snuggling and occasionally has the zoomies. She uses the litter box and the scratching post.

Story
"Long time no see my friends, I am Burger. Can you believe I am going to be 8 years young on April 4? I originally was a kitten in 2016 when I was adopted out through KLAWS. However, in 2018, I was returned. I was left alone a lot, and I did not like being left alone and it created some separation anxiety. I would much rather have someone to hang out with all the time. I must be the only animal in the home so you can shower me with all your love and affection. I love to play with all sorts of toys. Once I am played out, I would love to snuggle up with you and get all the attention I deserve." For Burger to be the best boy he can be he will require a home with no other pets and someone who can shower him with the love and attention he deserves. He is looking for someone who will help him with his transition and stick with him as he settles into his new home. Burger eats a special urinary diet and is currently on chlomicalm, which is an anxiety medication, and CBD oil, which all should be continued in his forever home. Please send an email to 4klaws@gmail.com if you have any questions or are ready to welcome Burger into your furever family. Adoption Fee: $200 (includes deworm, deflea, vaccinations, microchip, neuter) To help us find Burger a purrfect family, please care and share 🙏🏻🐾❤️ 🐾If you are able to foster for KLAWS, please email 4klaws@gmail.com to request an application. Story
"Well hello there, I am Valerie but my friend sometimes call me Val. I have been with KLAWS since November 2021 and boy have I blossomed since arriving. I have an estimated date of birth of June 19, 2017. My foster home has helped me become the best kitty ever, however I would love ❤️ to find my forever home. I have both cat and dog friends so I could get along with either, as long as we have proper introductions. I love to sleep near my people and have one of the loudest purrs so I can catch your attention. I love to be social and eat my meals with everyone else in the kitchen. I do also know the sound of the treat jar but my foster is cheap and will only give me a couple. She says I need to watch my figure." Valerie will need to remain on her current Hills Prescription Diet C/D Multicare Stress, both wet and dry, as she has previously had sporadic bouts of hematuria due to stress. Since Valerie has left the shelter and entered our care she has not had any occurrences at all in her foster home. We have added in a variety of wet foods to give her more options. She will require measured, timed feedings as she is currently the perfect weight and size. Valerie would enjoy the company of a similar personality friend with slow and proper introductions. Her forever home and family should be a calmer and quiet environment. Our pets need their own safe space for the first little while to help them become familiar with their new surroundings (environment, smells, sounds, people, pets, etc) to be successful and comfortable in their forever home. Please send an email to 4klaws@gmail.com if you have any questions or are ready to welcome Valerie into your furever family. Adoption Fee: $200 (includes deworm, deflea, vaccinations, microchip, spay) To help us find Valerie a purrfect family, please care and share #4klaws #4klawskitties #4klawsfosters #adoptdontshop #spayneuter #rescuesareworthit *All KLAWS kitties are required, by signed contract, to be indoor only and not declawed.
