COBRA BUBBLES, M/N, DSH, GREY/WHITESENIOR - 10+ YEARS"Meet Cobra Bubbles...Just the sweetest snuggle muffin in the entire universe. 10+ years old and on the streets for who knows how long, CB was found intact when he joined a local feral cat colony. This poor buddy has had it tough but even though he looks perma-grumpy, his care giver soon discovered he wasn't feral at all. He must at one time have been a treasured pet and he has so much love to give. What a gift! He just wants to cuddle. Like...all the time. On your lap, on your chest, in your bed. Anywhere. Anytime.Mr. Bubbles was neutered and vetted by Ninth Life and it was discovered that he is FIV positive and only has two teeth left. (Did I mention he was living rough?) After spending several months in foster care, recovering his strength and attaining a healthy body weight, this sweet soul is ready to find his furever home. Bubs' ideal situation is as a single pet in an environment where he has at least one family member home most of the time. Work from home or a stay-at-home parent would be fantastic. Even better a retiree who has a big heart and a cozy recliner.Still a bit timid around new people and loud noises, Cobra will hide when startled. Understandable. He would prefer a quiet environment though he is great with gentle, cat-savvy kids. Once you earn his trust, he'll give you his whole heart too."Location: Foster home

CLEO, DMH, CALICOBORN FEBRUARY 5, 2018I am Cleo and rightfully named after the famous and last Pharaoh of Egypt, Cleopatra! I am a queen and I am truly stunning! Kneel before me and serve me, is my attitude. I mean, Egyptians did worship cats and that is such the right attitude to take!I am petite and gorgeous but not for the faint of heart. No children please as I need to be the only one that you concentrate on during my reign of your home as I need a very experienced cat owner. I can be quite grateful and allow you to pet me and love me. I do get a bit over stimulated so I may let you know that I am finished with your adoration and that you may continue with your other chores. Yes I am regal but I can love and will love the right person. So if you think you are the one, come and ask for an audience with me. Don't keep me waiting!Location: Foster Home

Story
BILLIE, F/S, DSH, BROWN/BLACK TABBYBORN APRIL 07 2015Billie is a shy but sweet cat who spent most of her life as a beloved outdoor kitty. Sheshowed up in a family's back yard as a young adult, and they have cared for her since.Billie is a precocious kitty, and insisted on an outdoor life until the situation in herneighbourhood changed. Now, she can no longer live safely outdoors, has acceptedindoor "retirement", and has been adjusting to the indoor life since November 2023.Unfortunately, the family who has cared for her most her life cannot keep her as an indoorpet due to medical issues, and they are seeking a new forever home for her where shecan spend her golden years as a spoiled indoor kitty.Estimated to be approx. 9 years old, Billie is very healthy thanks to her loving foster family. She was spayed as a young adult, has had parasite treatments consistently through heradult life, and was always well fed and groomed by her human caregivers. Billie hasalways been cooperative at the vet and while being groomed, and has never reactedaggressively, instead choosing to pretend to be invisible when stressed. She toleratestrusted humans picking her up and placing her in the carrier, with reassurance that she willbe safe. She has adjusted well to indoor life, learning to use the scratching post as asubstitute for trees, and the litter box instead of the garden. She likes to keep her spaceclean and tidy, and is glad when her humans help her by sweeping around the litterboxand putting things in order.A typical busy day in Billie's life includes long naps in sunny windows or other cozy places, enjoying her meals and sampling new treats (including house plants within reach),spending time with her favourite humans, and participating in feline enrichment activitiesand hunting games. She has discovered the joys of teaser toys and squeaky mouse toysas a substitute for hunting outdoors, and interactive food puzzles/treats hidden around herspace. She loves chasing balls and will play soccer with you! She does not care much forcatnip or laser pointers, and would prefer instead to sit with her favourite human and chatwhile getting brushed or massaged. She enjoys music and will flick her tail with the music.Once you gain Billie's trust, you have a friend and companion for life. She is wary of newhumans, but will approach familiar people and those she has a friendship with (even if theyare not part of her household). She is very attuned to her humans, and would love tospend time with someone who will talk to her, sit and cuddle with her, and otherwise let herbe involved in their day to day life. She loves following her humans around the house, watching them cook or garden, and watch TV with them from her favourite perch. She isvery clever and picks up on human actions and intentions quickly, especially when humanstalk to her and explain what's going on.Billie would do best in a quiet home without small children, as she is scared of loud and/orsudden noises, and people who approach her too quickly. When startled, she will retreat toa quiet space, and will return when the environment is calmer. She would be glad for alaid-back and friendly animal companion for her golden years. However, she could nottolerate a companion who is aggressive or domineering, as it would stress her-she wouldbegin to pull out her fur. As a former outdoor cat, she is very prey-driven, thus would notbe successful in a home with birds or small animals. Her new family should also havemeasures in place to ensure she can't escape outdoors, especially in pursuit of birds orother critters outside the window. If you think your home could be a good fit for Billie in her golden years, please submit anadoption application, and we will reach out to you to discuss next steps.Location: Foster Home

CHARLY, F/S, DSH, BLACK/WHITE TUXEDOBORN FEBRUARY 15 2023BONDED WITH CALLIEThese two girls are very sweet together. They came from a hoarding situation and were in rough shape. Charly will come when called and loves for you to get down on the floor with her where she's comfortable getting pets and will even meow for you to do so. Callie is still working on her confidence but likes to be around humans and sit back and observe. She will take some time and depends on Charly. They both love to play with each other and with their toys and the cat tree. With love and patience we are sure they will both flourish in time. They love other cats and don't mind calm children. Unsure about dogs. They must be adopted together.Location: Foster Home
