Story
We must give up Poppy and Bella, a pair of 4 year old females because we will be taking over a pair who's caregiver is unable to continue. Four is too many. They are to be adopted as a pair. Their new home should be with a couple without children, not too noisy, with each partner becoming their respective favourite human. They came to us in October from the Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter (Port Perry, ON). Animal Services took them forcibly from "a hoarder situation". They are fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. They are very skittish and will scamper at unexpected loud noises or someone moving too fast. There is no doubt that they were traumatized previously. At first, they hid for almost three weeks. They are coming along now and feel secure when they snuggle with their chosen human. They are turning out to be playful and curious. Poppy is quiet and shy, enjoys snuggling and occasionally has the zoomies. She uses the litter box and the scratching post.

Story
Purchased as a kitten from Humane Society 5 years ago. She is a curious little girl raised in an adult home. She is very inquisitive liking to know what you are doing....if you are looking in a drawer she is beside you looking too.....if you are fixing something she is beside you watching and helping. She reaches out to you when you are near, she is a sweet little girl that enjoys sleeping with you. Unfortunately my other 5 year old female cat and her were spooked by something outside, since then our other cat does not got along with Kallie even though Kallie is fine with her and we have to keep them separated. She is an indoor cat with excellent litter box manners. She does need portioned meals as will overeat if free fed. She does get along with son's 100 pound Labrador dog but unsure if she would be okay with constant exposure.

If you're looking for a companion who appreciates your love and attention but also knows how to enjoy his own space, Hawk could be the perfect addition to your home. Reactions to: Cats: I love to play and cuddle with cats of all ages Dogs: I haven't interacted with any dogs Children: I'm cautious around new things and people Meeting New People: I am very nervous and cautious when meeting new people, treat me kind and show me love and I'll come around. Once on your lap, she loves to rub her face on your face before settling in for a nice nap and purr contently. She is a goofy and likes to come into the bathroom with you and watch the toilet flush. She chases her own tail. She will play with anything she can find or steal out of the garbage. Her reactions to : Cats- Walnut gets along with her siblings and the other adult cats in the home Dogs - Walnut has not been exposed to dogs but kittens easily adapt to new situations Meeting new people- Walnut is friendly and will greet anyone Children- Walnut has not been exposed to young children
