Story
"Welcome back, friends. I am Star. I came to KLAWS in July 2023 with an estimated date of birth of April 7, 2023. I love to play with and chase all my furry foster friends around the house. How else are we supposed to use up all our energy? I am not a fan of playing rough, though, so when the boys start to get rough, I sit out and snuggle with my foster mom. I would love to have a furry friend in my forever home to keep me company while the humans are away." Our pets need their own safe space for the first little while to help them become familiar with their new surroundings (environment, smells, sounds, people, pets, etc) to be successful and comfortable in their forever home. Please send an email to 4klaws@gmail.com if you have any questions or are ready to welcome Star into your furever family. Adoption Fee: $200 (includes deworm, deflea, vaccinations, microchip, spay) To help us find Star a purrfect family, please care and share 🙏🏻🐾❤️ 🐾If you are able to foster for KLAWS, please email 4klaws@gmail.com to request an application. Help us help those in need🐾 #4klaws #4klawskitties #4klawsfosters #adoptdontshop #spayneuter #rescuesareworthit Until there’s none, rescue one 🙏🏼🐾♥️ *All KLAWS kitties are required, by signed contract, to be indoor only and not declawed. All adopters are required to stay in touch for the life of the cat, through regular updates via our confidential KLAWS Family group on Facebook or via email. If we are not getting regular updates, a KLAWS representative may call. The follow-ups are purely to assure us of the animals’ wellbeing*

Story
Meet Mr. Bojangles – He Definitely Dances to the Beat of His Own Drum First spotted back in November looking like he’d just walked off the set of a feline fashion disaster, Mr. Bojangles was strutting around with what turned out to be a bag wrapped tightly around his neck. While it looked like an odd accessory, it was actually dangerous—and this clever cat wasn’t about to make rescue easy.Neighbors tried. They really tried. But Mr. Bojangles had ninja-level evasion skills. Parkour over fences. Stealth mode under porches. Blink and he was gone. Finally, in late January, a determined family earned his trust and safely removed the bag—only to discover it had cut deeply into his neck and armpit. He came into our care for treatment, and we promised him no more plastic accessories ever again. Now healing and safe, Mr. Bojangles is learning that not all humans are the enemy. He’s still cautious—more of a “watch from a distance and judge your life choices” kind of guy—but the walls are slowly coming down. And surprisingly? He seems to have a soft spot for kids. He’s not going to leap into your arms or snuggle under your chin on day one. Let’s be real—he’s got some baggage (literally and emotionally). But there’s a gentle, trusting soul under all that street smarts. He’s not looking for a flashy adopter—just someone patient, kind, and willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe. Mr. Bojangles is proof that even the most guarded hearts can learn to love again. He’s been through it, but he’s still standing. And with the right person? He just might dance again.
