Story
Hello there, my name is Marilou! In this bustling world, I`m a quiet presence, offering soft chirps when I`m seeking a bit of affection. I`m not one for loud noises or fast movements, I prefer a more mellow pace. I love to curl up in a cozy corner, perhaps with a gentle hand stroking my fur. Cuddles are my absolute favorite, they make me purr like a little engine. I`m a sweet soul, content with simple pleasures. Adopting me would mean a loyal companion, a cuddle buddy on chilly nights, and a quiet listener on tough days. I`m ready to share my love and warmth with a family who will cherish it.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: I could be a good match with children.OTHER CATS: I could be a good match with a relaxed and respectful cat, after a slow introduction.DOGS: I could be a good match with a calm, cat-savvy dog after a proper introduction.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...FIRST TIME CAT OWNERS: YesACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-mediumIf you think I would make a good match for your home, click the `Adopt me` button to apply!

Story
Grayden was a stray on a farm and is nervous of people, although he is allowing the staff to pet him now. He likes to hide in a safe place. He is a shy cat that needs time to get comfortable with people. We estimate his birthdate as February 25,2019. Because of his outdoor life and probable fights with other male cats, he has tested positive for the FIV virus. Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus (FIV) is a disease that only affects cats and cannot be transmitted to humans or other animals. FIV cats have a lower immune system but a good food and the usual annual Vet visits will ensure a long and happy life. Grayden has been with us since January 2021.If you would like to make an appointment to meet him, please contact the shelter for an appointment at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com

Story
This is Clarke! We estimated his birthdate as September 17,2018. He is timid in new situations and would be best as the only animal in the house to start with. No other cats. He will come out of his shell with lots of one on one contact, brushes and affection.Clarke has been tested positive for F.I.V but still has a lot of potential to grow. The shelter is just a little too much for him so he stays in hiding, and he is very good at finding places to hide. He is actually the top hide and seek champion, but the staff always take time out of their day to find him and let him know things will be okay. Clarke has been with us since September 17, 2021. Please contact the shelter at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com if you would like to know more about Clarke. The staff would be more than happy to talk with you about him.

Story
Mark was found in a barn where he didn`t get along with the other cats. He has been at UCHS since November 2022. Mark did test positive for FIV but as with other FIV cats, he could live a long and healthy life. Good food, regular veterinary check ups and an indoor life will keep him healthy. Mark is a `shadow cat` as he needs to become accustomed to being indoors and not be afraid anymore. This could take some time but if someone had the time and patience to give him a chance, we hope he would come out of his shell eventually. If you are interested in meeting Mark, please contact the shelter for an appointment at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com
