Story
Runa is a 6-year-old purebred Sphynx I adopted as an eight-week-old kitten. She’s a true “velcro” cat—loyal, cuddly, chatty—but her hairless body also makes her extra-sensitive. Loud noises or strong animal smells spike her anxiety; in new environments she can get very nervous and has done well on short-term calming meds prescribed by a vet. A rough younger cat recently rattled her, so she now needs either an only-pet home or a household with one mellow animal introduced slowly over 1–3 months (scent swapping and room rotations). Gentle, respectful kids who give her space are fine. Runa loves predictable routines, heated blankets, spring-toy play, and quiet companionship. She has a mild, stable heart murmur (records available) and needs weekly wipes/baths plus nail trimming. Offer her a calm, scent-controlled home with patient affection and she’ll reward you with purrs and unwavering loyalty.

Story
Hello there, I`m Adam. My sister and I came to the shelter when our owner moved and wasn`t able to bring us along. So here we are in search of a quiet adult home. I may be a senior, but don`t let that fool you. I`m as playful as a kitten, bounding after toys with the energy of my younger days. I`ve got a sweet side too, always ready for a cuddle and a purr. I`m affectionate, you see, and I express my love through grooming, especially my sister Eve. We`re quite the pair, Eve and I. You should see us, curled up together, me grooming her gently. I`ve got a lot of love to give, and I`d like to share it with you. Adopting me means not just getting a pet, but gaining a loyal friend, a cuddle buddy, and a playmate all in one. So, how about it? Will you give this old boy a chance? You may have noticed we are an Underdog adoption this is because we require a patient and understanding adopter to help set us up for success. Luckily this means our adoption fee is up to you!

Story
Oh um hello, i am a nervous golden oldie who is in need of a furever home. I am not the outgoing type and much prefer to keep to myself. Most of the time you can find me lounging around in my favourite hiding spot away from all the commotion. Ideally I would prefer to move into a calm environment with grown ups who are able to read and respect my body language. I take some time to trust new people and will need lots of love and patience to help me come out of my shell. I appreciate you taking the time to learn about me and hope to find my purrfect person soon! I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. I`m an older cat with some heart irregularities, but because of this, my adoption fee is totally up to you!

Story
Update: Billy has spent a few weeks in foster now! And yes, she does indeed take time to warm up! She will stay hidden for quite a few days before starting to venture out. And will very slowly come around. Billy is good with the foster`s small dog and other FeLV+ cats in the home. She is NOT a fan of the kitten, though is tolerant ;) She warmed up to the kids first, and the adult human last! In fact, the adult human is still only 50/50 in her good graces ;) She will seek attention when she is ready and is a puff monster who loves to be pet. She is also quite playful once she is comfortable.Billy was brought in as a stray, who wasn`t feeling well. Our medical team helped get her back to health, and she is now looking for her forever home. You`ll notice that she isn`t one for bragging about how good looking she is, this girl is shy! She is not quite used to humans, so she would appreciate a patient human who will let her lead the relationship. We`d like to mention Billy is considered a Special Paws adoption, which means she does have medical needs that need tending to. Billy is FeLV positive, an IDEXX FIV/FeLV test was performed in shelter using whole blood, and a positive FeLV test result was noted. Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) can significantly compromise the immune system, so routine preventive healthcare is important. Infected felines often have a shorter than average lifespan, though can live a relatively normal life for a period of time. There are many ways that FeLV adversely affects a cat, most commonly including; cancer, blood disorders, and overall immunodeficiency. It is important that any medical concerns are promptly addressed with a veterinarian. The primary mode of transmission for FeLV is through bite wounds, mutual grooming, and (rarely) through the use of shared litter boxes and feeding dishes. Since this condition can be easily transmitted to other cats, those testing positive should be housed only with those who have also tested positive. Rarely, false positive tests can occur. If a cat has been vaccinated against FeLV we would not see a false positive result. It is recommended that you follow up with your primary care veterinarian to establish a preventive healthcare plan post adoption! But because of this, her adoption fee is totally up to you!

Story
Oh um hello, they call me Annabel around here. I am a reserved lady who is in need of a furever home for myself and my longtime friend Angel. I am nervous in new environments and Angel does her best to push through her own fears to make me feel safe, due to the nature of our relationship we`d like to go to our new home together. It is going to take us both some time to get out of our shells, but with your unconditional love and patience we are sure to get there. Once I`m settled into my space I love to be scratched on the head and neck and will need patient adopters to help me get there. We are going to be best suited for an adult home environment where our body language can be read and respected.

Story
Hi, I’m Licorice — a sleek little kitten with a big heart, a tiny voice, and a strong opinion that no one should ever be alone (especially me). I’m just a little shy at first, but once I know you’re safe, I’ll be your soft, sweet shadow.Full disclosure: my brother recently got adopted (yay for him, I guess), and now I’m here solo, waiting for my turn. Let’s just say I’m not a fan of the single life. I thrive with a buddy — cat, human,or even a red dot... honestly, I’m not picky. I just like knowing someone’s nearby. I may not be the first to charge into the room, but I am the first to curl up next to you once I feel safe. I specialize in silent companionship, side-eye snuggles, and emotionally supportive loafing. If you`re looking for a gentle, quiet, slightly dramatic little bestie to keep you company (and maybe follow you to the bathroom), I’m your girl. Bonus points if you already have another friendly cat I can cling to for moral support. With love and very soft paws,Licorice
