Story
Meet Fern, a delightful adult feline with a heart full of affection. Despite her cerebellar hypoplasia, Fern doesn`t let anything slow her down. She`s a bubbly spirit, brimming with love and playfulness. She enjoys a good game of chase the feather, and her cuddly nature makes her the perfect companion for cozy evenings. Fern`s condition requires special care, but her sweet disposition more than makes up for it. Her infectious joy and resilience can brighten up any home. Fern would like a home where she is the only feline but would likely settle with a calm canine friend. She will require some modifications in her home to keep her safe when her wobbles get the best of her! A separate room with no hazards is a must. Ferns foster mom is more than happy to talk with potential adopters about the modifications Fern will require in the home. Story
Meet Puto! A 2-year-old male DSH that has been at the shelter since May.Puto is a very shy boy who takes time to settle and get comfortable. He is looking for a patient, quiet and low commotion home to settle into. He is a sweet boy once he feels comfortable and trusts someone, his personality will likely blossom once he feels safe in a home. Puto has lived with other cats and would likely benefit from having a feline friend in his new home, this could possibly help him gain some confidence and become more comfortable as well. A slow introduction is always recommended. He has not been tested with dogs but this can be arranged with an approved application. He is recommended to a home with quiet children 10+ due to his shy demeanor. Staff are still getting to know Puto as he settles in. All animals available for adoption at HSHPE have been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered, and have been treated for internal/external parasites.Adopters will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ren’s Pets and a pet care booklet from Pet Valu with coupons worth up to $300.
