Hello, my name is Whiskerbell. It's my turn to tell my story. The humans here tell me that my owner decided that they didn't want me anymore and dumped me. Why would someone do that? It's awful! Thankfully there were nice people that gave me food and called the right people to come and get me. I'm safe now. It's a little scary being in a new place, but it's cozy, and I get lots of food! Ducky is the sweetest little lady. She is about 7-8 years old. My partner and I adopted her from the Joplin Humane Society in 2019. She’s been a great pet and she’s a big cuddler once she warms up to you. We have been faced with rehoming her because as she’s aged, she has gotten much less tolerant of the two other cats in our home. They will all have their small spats, but she has started taking it too far instead of running off and separating like the other two do. She is a loud girl and will always let you know what she is thinking. She also snores when she sleeps and it sometimes sounds like quacking, hence the name ❤️ She is an absolute angel, specifically with people. She has never really loved living with other cats (not a fan of dogs, but historically she will just avoid them). We believe she was simply tolerating it because she was young. We believe she would fit best in a home where she is the only pet, or at least has open space to avoid the other pet.
