Story
Ginger was found with his brother Blake (featured in second picture). He is sweet and playful. He can be a talker at times which is so cute! He loves to play with his brother very much and sun bath. He has been an outside cat since I found them. He should finally be old enough to neuter. I didn't realize i would have them this long and cannot afford to do that unfortunately. My hope is that these boys can go to a loving home with an individual or a family that can afford to properly care for them and has more time to give, preferably together.

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Leo is a wonderful, sweet and soft cat. Definitely likes to be lap kitty and sleep at the end of the bed at night. He’s 5 years old, and neutered. I’ve take good care of him. He’s an indoor cat and likes his scratching wooden post. He got out once and was gone for about a week. He came back and has never wanted back outside. Pretty sure he got into a fight with another cat or wild animal bc he had a slice in his ear. He got healed up and has been an indoor kitty since. He comes when called. He’s a really great cat. Until we got our puppy, a German shepherd. They got along fine at first. Until the puppy grew. Now Leo is afraid of the dog. He won’t come downstairs very often. He hides a lot. And runs scared when the dog is out. I have tried separating them and putting them on meds. Nothing has helped. Our dog is hyper and reactive and I just feel so bad for Leo. He needs a house with dogs who aren’t hyper active. He doesn’t do well with other cats.

Story
My dear girlfriend passed away recently, and I adopted one of her two cats, Baby. Unfortunately, Baby does not get along well with the cat I already have, Pocket. Baby got along great with my girlfriend's other cat, but Baby would probably be best suited in a one-cat home. A couple of years ago, my girlfriend had dogs, and Baby got along great with them. Baby is very loving and likes to rub up against you. I am 71 years young, and I just want someone who can care for Baby so I can keep Pocket. I am actually unsure of Baby's breed.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Wynona is shy at first -- she is extremely sweet when she is comfortable, but give her a few days and she will be ready for some human attention. She loves chin scratches and just to be near her human. She gets along with other non-dominant cats and will just mind her own business -- she does not do well with cats who will bully her. Wynona is quick to seek out human company when comfortable. While she does get along with other cats, proper acclimation is extremely important in the process of adjusting to a new home and other cats. Wynona has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.
