Story
Sweet laid back girl, mother of 3 kittens, who has lived in a trailer park all her life, often outside, and never wanted. She has tested positive for FIV but, although she is listed as special needs, she actually has NO special needs - FIV is neither a life threatening nor a life changing condition. Cloud is low maintenance (uses litter box with no scattering, uses scratching box, plays without being destructive and is very loving without smothering you). And she likes to sleep with you. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer. Thanks!

Story
Reggie is searching for his forever home. He is well mannered and curious. He is nervous around new people and will scare easily. However once used to you he will come around and seek attention and pets. He will approach with caution but once he trusts you, he will head butt and want ear scratches. He absolutely loves other cats so he should be adopted into another cat household. He also enjoys treats and will interactively play with you and a dangly toy. He does not like to be picked up or placed in a cat carrier. A quiet adult only home would be preferred. Story
I am a survivor! Moe came to his foster home with two of his siblings - was adopted out but returned due to no fault of his own. He was diagnosed in April with FIP- which is typically fatal in young cats. Luckily for Moe he had wonderful people from the HART team who were willing to give him the care and medications needed. For 3 months he received an experimental treatment that was able to cure his FIP. He has been patiently waiting another 3 months to make sure he was truly cured- and he is! Moe is a gentle cat- he has a lovely loud purr and prefers to sit next to you on the couch and in bed. He enjoys playing a game of fetch and gets along well with other foster cats. He does not like dogs and would do best in a quiet adult home. He also enjoys treat time and of course breakfast (when he gets wet food). He's a lovely calm boy who deserves a special home. Story
My name is Hattie! I am approximately a 1-year-old female, domestic short hair, white & black markings. I was dumped in Hamilton. A good Samaritan found me in pretty bad shape and reached out to HART. I was skin and bones when my foster mom picked me up and I was a sick girl with a high fever. She gave me meds, nursed me back to good health. I am a sweet girl who's learning what a safe life looks like. I like to be with my foster mom purring, needing and watching the birds out the window. I would make a great addition to your home; you will just need to be a little patient with me as I keep coming out of my shell. I will be ok with another non-aggressive kitty friend, with proper introduction. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. Story
Meet Opal! Let me introduce to you The Beautiful Opal Opal approximate D.O.B is 09/15/23, she is a DSH Black kitten with a lot of love to give. Opal came into foster with me when she and her brother needed more socialization. She has been working with me for over 5 months now and even though she still needs time to warm up she is getting there and just needs a forever home to continue showing her trust and love. Opal is very food motivated and you will quickly find your way to her HART with a good lickable treat. Opal will need to go to a home that has time to continue her socialization, a home with NO SMALL CHILDREN would be best because that would be scary for her, to many moving parts. Opal WOULD NOT DO WELL WITH DOGS! Opal really needs a person with a special HART! She has so much love to give and needs a home that will be patient with her and give her time to flourish in her new home. If you think you can be her special person, than show her some love by filling out an application. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. Story
Dear Potential Adopter, I am writing to you today in hopes of finding a loving forever home for Ozzy, a cat I have been fostering since December 2023. When Ozzy and his sister first arrived, they were both timid and fearful. My primary goal was to socialize them, and I'm pleased to report that Ozzy has made incredible progress. Over the past year, he has learned to trust me, interact with other cats and dogs, and be comfortable around people. Witnessing his transformation has been truly remarkable. Ozzy has a gentle and endearing personality. He has a soft meow and loves to cuddle and receive affection when he's ready. He is a year and a half old and has spent a considerable amount of time in foster care. He is now ready to find a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to fully blossom. I believe there are special people out there who are willing to give cats like Ozzy a chance. If you are interested in providing Ozzy with his forever home, please reach out. Thank you for your consideration.
