Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Hi, this is a male cat who is super friendly. Loves people and does not hide when strangers come to the door or in the house. Litter trained. About 10 years old. Owner died and current owner is allergic. This cat does have cat asthma and requires a pill to be given twice a week. The cat is used to taking the pill and it’s very easy. Up-to-date on shots. Cat does have claws and does not go outside.

Story
Spaghetti (1.5yr) is an awesome cat! He is very playful and loves to chase and pounce. I adopted him the day he turned 8 weeks old. At the time, I had a very busy house with lots of activity. The environment was perfect for him. Recently our situation changed, and now it’s just me and Spaghetti. Unfortunately, Spaghetti is not adjusting well. Although he gets attention every day, it’s no comparison to what he had, so he has taken to random surprise attacks (pounce, scratch and bite quickly, and run away) that are drawing blood. I have taken him to the Vet and discussed the situation with her. She feels like this is normal kitty behavior and he needs more interaction. I’m not in a position to give more interaction. I love this cat with all of my heart! I can see how lonely he is, and It breaks my heart. He needs to be in an active house, preferably one that has other pets he can play with as well. He is healthy, well loved, completely up-to-date on his shots, and neutered.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Star was adopted as a kitten then came back several months later due to no fault of her own. She was very shy upon her return and spent time with our TLC volunteers to help her come out of her shell. Now Star is showing her affectionate side. She's a sweet girl who loves laps once she's comfortable with you and she enjoys making biscuits while being petted. She also does well with other cats if your cat is looking for a gentle friend. We think Star will be a wonderful companion cat in a calm household. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
Freddie and Frank have come such a long way from their arrival in February 2024. For the first three months, these boys, along with another cat, Frannie, spent time with a special team of volunteers who helped them to decompress. They have not had an easy life. They were abandoned with one of our rescue partners. We don't know their backstory. We don't know if they were once loved and cherished family pets, or were neglected and then abandoned. What we do know is that they deserve to be loved, and to have a safe, forever home where they will not be left behind again. While we learned that Frannie is not especially bonded to the boys, Frank and Freddie are intensely bonded to one another. We do not want to split them up. We think they'd be broken-hearted if we separated them from one another, and they have already had enough heartbreak. That means we are searching for a patient home that's willing to work with two shy, reserved cats and show them what love is. They are beautiful and healthy, love treats, play with toys and now enjoy petting and an occasional lap. They have come a long way since we first received them. We know this is a tall order, but we're hopeful that there is someone out there with a big heart and room in their home for these sweethearts, who with time and patience, will learn to trust and become valued members of a family, maybe for the first time in their lives. Frank and Freddie are available for foster to adopt to ensure that it is the right fit. If you are interested, please reach out to arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com for more information.
