Story
Red likes to play `hard-to-get` with potential adopters and staff. He is so fluffy and cute that it is impossible to not love him, however, he will make you work hard for his affection. While in foster care, Red took time to settle in to his new environment. Red did best when he had multiple places to hide in and feel safe (such as a cat bed or cat tree). He likes to sit next to his person, if he is feeling it, he may even let you pet him! We very much believe with a patient forever family, Red can learn to trust humans again. Let`s show Red that not all humans will abandon him and that he can feel safe in his forever home. To meet Red in-person, you may visit SPCA Cincinnati any day of the week from 12p-6p. We are located on 11900 Conrey Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249.

Story
Meet Jasper! This handsome cat originally came from the sunny state of Florida. He made his way to SPCA Cincinnati when his previous shelter ran out of room and needed help. Jasper has endured a lot of stress while at the shelter, the environment does not suit his quiet and shy nature. He is searching for a forever home that can provide patience and love while he adjusts to his new home. Jasper`s most FAVORITE thing in the world is laying in enclosed cat beds. Jasper would do well in a household with children 12+ or with adults only. A quiet environment would also suit him well as loud noises easily spook him. Jasper is currently available for adoption from foster care. To learn more about adopting this sweet cat, please e-mail foster@spcacincinnait.org.

Story
Did you see that blur? Was that a bird? A plane? No, it’s Flash! Flash is searching for someone who will let him come out of his shell on his own terms. He comes across as shy but once he trusts you, he gives the cutest little meows. Due to Flash’s shyness, he often gets overlooked by potential adopters because he will not come right up to the condo door. As a result, Flash has been at the shelter for over 130 days. Flash originally came from Florida! He might not be a big fan of our Ohio weather but he doesn’t mind as long as he has someone to help him feel safe. Flash feels the safest when he has plenty of hiding spaces- such as beds, boxes, cat tree, or anything he finds worthy. Flash is currently available for adoption from foster care. To learn more about adopting this dapper fella, please e-mail foster@spcacincinnati.org.

Story
Meet Chopstick – Your Shy, Sweet Long-timerChopstick is an 8-year-old cat with a heart of gold, but it takes him a little while to show it. This gentle soul is spending some time in foster care, where he`s been allowed to decompress and take his time adjusting to new surroundings. While he may be shy at first, once Chopstick feels comfortable, he opens up in his own time. If you`re patient, loving, and ready to give Chopstick the space he needs, you’ll discover a calm, affectionate companion who will slowly start to trust you.Chopstick has a special diet that keeps his stomach happy, which makes him an easy cat to care for once his needs are met. He’ll thrive in a quiet, peaceful home with people who understand that building trust takes time. We cannot say how Chopstick would do in a home with another cat. However, due to his shy nature, he may do best in a low-stress/quieter environment. This sweet, shy guy is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe and loved. He’s a long-timer who deserves a chance to shine – please consider giving Chopstick the fresh start he’s been waiting for. Let him show you how beautiful life can be when you give it the time and love it deserves. If you’re ready to help Chopstick find his forever home, please reach out to foster@spcacincinnati.org to learn more about adopting this sweet soul!

Story
Meet Bootsie! If you like sweet and sassy, then Bootsie is the cat for you. She loves to show you her beautiful belly, but it`s a trick! She just wants you to look and admire at how amazing her soft belly is. She likes head pets the most and will talk with you over morning coffee. Bootsie needs a patient home that will give her time to settle into her new environment. We are unsure how she is with other animals but do know that she lived with an elderly woman prior to coming to SPCA Cincinnati. If you are interested in meeting Bootsie, please visit SPCA Cincinnati at 11900 Conrey Road any day of the week from 12p-6p.
