Story
Catrina is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was brought to the HSOV on February 5, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who had found her on State Route 7 in the Reno Ohio area approximately two weeks earlier. Catrina had been kept safe by that kind individual while she tried in vain to locate her family. This little lady has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a pretty face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. Catrina has a sweet, rather shy, personality and is quite friendly. She especially loves her 'safe haven' (a soft plush covered bed which our compassionate kennel techs have placed in her small cage in order to provide a sense of security). Catrina chose to stay in her safe place for the first few days and gradually come out when she began to trust her new kennel tech friends. Catrina was given vaccinations, flea treatment, and Pyrantel wormer on February 6, 2025. She weighed 7.8 lbs that day. Since Catrina was not reclaimed, we will have her spayed and find her a loving home.

Story
Sophie Mae is a 9-year old female kitty who was surrendered to HSOV on December 15, 2024 with her best friend Ollie for a very sad reason .. Their mistress (who had loved them dearly) was in hospice care and could no longer take care of her beloved cats .. And she passed away a few days later knowing that Sophie and Ollie were safely in our shelter and would be loved by our kennel techs and eventually would find another special someone to give them a good home. Sophie Mae has a brown tabby medium-haired coat with a large patch of white on her chest, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with golden eyes, nice 'ear furnishings', a brown velvet nose and long white whiskers. Her birthday is July 5, 2015. Sophie Mae has a friendly, rather demure, personality. Sophie Mae was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on December 15, 2024. She is a petite little lady who weighed 6 lbs that day. Sophie was given booster vaccines on December 29, 2024. These photos of Sophie Mae were taken on January 4, 2025. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Rachel Elizabeth for lovingly holding Sophie in her arms for pictures of her beautiful face. Sophie was a very frightened little girl in her cage but, thanks to Rachel's gentle touch, she was able to relax and feel safe with her. We look forward to the day when we can take Sophie Mae's glamour photos in our 'studio' with her soulmate Ollie. Sophie Mae has not yet been spayed, so she will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in late January 2025) after being examined by a veterinarian to ensure that she can safely undergo the procedure since she is technically a 'senior citizen'. Sophie Mae and Ollie are being listed as a Bonded Pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. Sophie Mae especially depends upon Ollie for a sense of comfort/security. They are sharing a small cage and are truly soulmates. And with all longtime couples, Sophie Mae can be a bit sassy with Ollie if he's doing something to annoy her. Thanks to HSOV Lead Feline Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton for that observation (smile). Sophie Mae and Ollie are litterbox trained, and they get along with other cats. Note: Ollie and Sophie Mae went home with a foster mother on February 5, 2025 so that they may enjoy a real home environment instead of a shelter cat tower. They are still available for adoption.

Story
Pewdiepie is a handsome 4-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on March 14, 2025 along with his housemates (Jacksepticeye and Markiplier) for a heartbreaking reason ... Their beloved mistress who had cherished these three boys had passed away recently, and they suddenly became homeless. Pewdiepie has a gray-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful chubby symmetrically-marked face with dark gold/copper-colored eyes, a pink nose, a gray 'goatee', and long white whiskers. This big boy has a gentle, rather demure, personality. Pewdiepie's sad expressions and 'body language' are breaking our hearts since he appears to be missing his former home/mistress even more than his two companions. Pewdiepie gets along well with Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, and the boys are currently sharing a large cat tower. Pewdiepie is especially fond Jacksepticeye and depends upon Jack for comfort/security. Pewdiepie was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 14, 2025. He weighed 10.5 lbs that day. Pewdiepie was given booster vaccines on March 28, 2025. Pewdiepie will be neutered in the near future (tentatively on April 22, 2025) and will be ready to find another loving home with through adoption or rescue. Naturally we'd love to see him find a home with his best friend/soulmate Jacksepticeye. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Story
This dynamic trio (Johnny, Ponyboy and Sodapop) are handsome 6-month old male orange tabby kittens who were brought to the HSOV on March 16, 2025 along with their beautiful little brown tabby sisters (Cherry and Marcia). These youngsters were found on Ridgewood Drive in Marietta Ohio and were depending upon the kindness of neighborhood residents for survival. Johnny, Ponyboy and Sodapop are nearly identical twins. Our HSOV Kennel Techs can easily tell the boys apart since they each have their own distinct personality. Thankfully for the rest of us, our kennel techs have devised a way to identify each of the boys. Johnny is NOT wearing a collar. Ponyboy is wearing a 'Thanksgiving' motif collar. Sodapop is wearing a purple/blue collar. The boys were given vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment on March 17, 2025. They were given booster vaccines on March 29th. Johnny, Ponyboy and Sodapop are sharing a large cat tower in the front lobby of our shelter. They will be neutered in the near future (tentatively on April 22nd) and will be ready to find fabulous homes to continue their next adventures. Their cute little sisters (Cherry & Marcia) are also sharing a smaller tower in the HSOV lobby and are also scheduled to be spayed on April 22, 2025. The girls are very bonded with each other and are looking for a home together.

Story
Johnny is a cute 6-month old male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on March 16, 2025 along with his two brothers (Ponyboy and Sodapop) and his two sisters (Cherry & Marcia). They were found on Ridgewood Drive in Marietta Ohio fending for themselves and relying on the kindness of neighborhood residents who helped them survive. This little boy has an orange tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a pink nose, a splash of white on his muzzle/chin, and long white whiskers. Johnny was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 17, 2025. He weighed 5.6 lbs that day. Johnny was given booster vaccines on March 29th. Johnny, Ponyboy, and Sodapop are lovable, very playful and fun-loving (and are nearly identical triplets). The boys are sharing a large tower in the front lobby of our shelter and are like The Three Musketeers (all for one and one for all). Our HSOV Kennel Techs can easily tell these boys apart since they each have their own distinct personality. Thankfully for the rest of us, our kennel techs have devised a way to identify each of the boys .... Johnny is NOT wearing a collar. Ponyboy is wearing a 'Thanksgiving' motif collar. Sodapop is wearing a purple/blue collar. These 'big boy' photos of Johnny were taken on April 12, 2025 while he played to his heart's content with tiny toys and pussyfooted around our 'studio'. Johnny and his brothers will be neutered in the near future (tentatively on April 22nd) and will soon be ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
