Story
This poor guy was abandoned by his family. They moved and just put him out on the street to fend for himself. The homeless people in the area began abusing him. A good Samaritan worried for his safety contacted us. He has been vetted and this sweet guy just can't catch a break. He is under 2 years old and is neutered, but is positive for FIV. (equivalent to HIV in humans). He can go on to live many years and lead a normal life with good nutrition and a low stress environment. Due to the virus it is recommended that he be in a home with no other cats, unless they too are infected. He is such a sweet boy. If you have a soft spot in your heart for needy and forgotten felines, please think about giving this gentle guy a loving home.

Story
This is a courtesy post for a lady (Rae) who is taking care of four outdoor cats that she's been feeding and providing winter shelter for since the Summer of 2020 shortly after they were TNR'd as kittens. Three of them (listed below) would make good indoor cats (Rae can pick them up and they try to get inside, etc). Rae will be moving across the country into an apartment this summer and wants to make sure they are cared for. Even asking for this help is difficult because she loves them very much and will miss them greatly. Rae will provide costs for vetting them, and any other costs related, (all got shots in 2020. The only one vetted since then is Binx who needed medical care and got vax updates at that time. Rae can provide all paperwork).  All three cats are spayed/neutered and have had initial vaccines. Vet care will be updated prior to the cats going to new homes.  The Cats (all black with a tipped ear): Binx: (Male) He is funny in that he goes through waves of being extremely friendly, being ok being held and will cuddle with Rae in the hammock, and then will get very skittish for a time. Every single day, he stands at the window begging to say hello to my indoor cats so Rae thinks he would be a good candidate to be adopted into a home with existing cats if he can’t stay with Mama and Jiji. Rae wants to get him inside ASAP due to his mosquito allergy (his ears scab over every summer from being bitten). Mama (Kiki): (Female) VERY friendly. Asks for attention, will sit with Rae. She was TNR'd while pregnant and adopted the others once she was released. She allows Rae to pick her up and hold her for hugs. She has hyperesthesia on her back, but loves head and neck scritches.  She and Jiji are always together; splitting up those two is another reason Rae has had a hard time, because ideally they'd get to live together. Jiji: (Male) Also very friendly, will cry and follow you for attention. He allows Rae to pick him up momentarily. Bonded with Mama and likes saying hello to the indoor cats. If you would like to adopt one or more of the kitties, please email us at bandocats@gmail.com. Vet care will be updated prior to the cats going to their new home. April 21, 2025, 2:01 pm

Story
Precious is a colorful female calico cat approximately 4 – 5 years old.  Precious was dumped at a trailer court frequented by a Trap-Neuter-Return group.  Precious ran up and rubbed against every one’s leg that she could as if asking for help.  Precious was placed in foster care where she will stay until adopted.  When Precious arrived at foster mom’s house, she had some urinary issues, most likely a UTI followed by a very loose stool.  Precious was treated for both and has reacted well to her medications and now has no symptoms.  Precious is, however, currently on a special gastro diet.  This may or may not be necessary for entire life but changing her food should be done with caution.   Precious is very playful and loves toys and her scratching post.  Precious is sometimes rough with her toys and often brings her foster mom toy “presents” after removing the stuffings.  As is typical with calico cats, Precious lets you know when she wants to be done being petted.  She gives a little speak and sometimes a swipe so she would do well with children who understand to watch for cat body language.  Precious is very affectionate and absolutely loves being petted.  She often stares at foster mom as though she is attempting to communicate.  She is a very interactive and fun cat. Previous likes other cats and does well with the foster mom’s kitties  Precious is clean and litter box trained.  She is vaccinated, flea treated and de-wormed and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV.  Precious would love to have a lap to sit in and a place of her own.  Please consider adopting Precious. Story
My name is Vance. I was roaming a Hilliard neighborhood in late Fall. It's no fun being abandoned, but I would show up at this one house and find dinner waiting for me. In January just before it got really cold and snowy, they took me inside and gave me my own room. I slept for 3 days. I am a dark brown/black tabby, male, est 1-1/2 to 2 years old. I went to the vet and have been neutered and vaccinated. There are plenty of cats in this home already, so I would like a place of my own with someone who is patient and kind and will help me adjust to new surroundings. I'm doing a better job of trusting people than I used to and I welcome her when she opens the door. I don't think I'm ready for children and I don't know what to expect with dogs. If you have a safe, warm and cozy barn and give me yummy food, water and TLC, that would be ok too. If you would like to know more about Vance or to request an adoption application, please email us at bandocats@gmail.comMarch 20, 2025, 4:33 pm
