She needs to be in a home where she can accept human contact on her own terms – frequently preferring to be left alone. She should also be in an all-adult home where her safe space is respected. He does not strike out when being petted, telling us he is not mean, but only afraid. Since being at the shelter, Jasper has already come a long way. Introducing Alex – a very sweet boy that has overcome a lot in his lifetime. When he was found in the streets in the bitter cold, he was extremely thin and unwell, and the tips of his ears and the pads of his feet had frostbite. After being in a loving foster home for a period of time, he is now the handsome boy you see! The skin on the pads of his feet have peeled, revealing very soft toe beans, and the tips of his ears have fallen off. He now has a thick, bunny-soft coat and very good body weight. He is quite laidback at times and would be a good cuddle buddy. But when he sees a toy, he gets his spunk on and is off and running (he especially loves playing with a laser). Alex now needs a forever home where he can feel safe and loved – is that with you? If so, please visit him Tuesday-Saturday, 12-4!

Meet Pillow! This big guy is very affectionate, giving head-butt hugs and running his purring motor when petted. When he first came to the shelter, when being removed from his cage, he would struggle to get free and immediately run back to his cage, at which time he once again would become a very affectionate, loving kitty. His cage was his safe place. However, after being moved to the cat room where he could roam free, he has become a cuddle bug and no longer feels the need to have his safe place. He even has been known to bat around the toys. Pillow would make a wonderful companion to cuddle up with! All he needs now is his own special human who will give him the love he deserves – are you his special human? If so, please visit him Tuesday-Saturday, 12-4!
